Do you change the brake bias when using different tires? I ask because most of the time I use racing soft and my default brake bias is 5/3 (abs =1 as the pedal on the DFGT does not give me enough feedback). Today I started to learn the ring more and went to arcade mode with the gt-r. Find myself braking too late constantly with the sports hard tires. So got me thinking if I should increase brake bias to 7/3 to compensate for the lower grip of the sports tires. Thoughts?

budious, thanks for the tip! i lowered brake to 3/1 in arcade/time trial/nurburgring with the gt-r and it feels much much better. going to go with 3/1 as my default for now.

I would say for sport tyres you need to break earlier than you do for racing tyres.
Same applies for hard over soft racing tyres.
As for the bias of the brakes, what can your car take before the tyre indicators show the tyres getting hot under braking.

You may also want to try out the bungie mod for the DFGT as well. It definitely helps out braking consistency with the crappy stock pedals.

rubberscrubber2, thanks. i'm going to play with bias some more on the stock gt-r. that gt-r trophy is hard to get.

dr wankel, thanks for the tip. i used a rubberband at first but it kept snapping off while braking. i am now using the bungie cord--it helps with some resistance, but not perfect.
