Brake help

Have made 3 cars and have decided to turn off the abs but i cannot seem to find a good balance of front and back balances. Any help?

try putting the balances way up.

As low as possible and so that the front tires lock a little bit earlier than the rear ones.

1-0; 2-0; 2-1; 3-0 are common numbers.


But of course, some people prefer higher numbers.

As dr_slump said, make sure your front tires lock up before the rears. Other than that make sure you can lock up the front when the brake pedal is 80-90%. Takes a bit of fiddling with the brake ballance but not too bad. Usually you can get it spot on in a lap or two.

Also listen for tire squeal, bit of a give away before the tires will lock up...
