I have a brand new Fanatec GT2 wheel with what appears to be a calibration problem but the wheel is unusable at this point.
When I turn it on, it goes through the self calibration process but once it goes all the way to the left it gets stuck in that position and it never returns to the center, "8.8.8" is displayed on the LCD screen.
I have already send an email to e-support@fanatec.com and attached all the information they were requesting.

BTW, the wheel was great while it worked but it developed the above problem only after 3 days of use. :(

Has anybody seen this before, how was it fixed? How long does it usually take for Fanatec Support to reply?

Thank you,

Unfortunately, only way to fix this is to get them to replace it. I had the same issue and it was diagnosed as most likely a bad optical sensor.

Mine went bad after first day of playing 3 hours. So i feel your pain.

Awww... man, it must have been frustrating to see your new wheel spoilt so fast.

I am sure Thomas would solve your issue soon.. hang in there!

Cheers!

Fanatec did a great job and sent me a replacement wheel. Their support team is very responsive once they acknowledge their product is defective.

Thats great news SilverStar, I have a Carrera Wheel that is having the same issue. I hope my experience is as good as your's in getting it fixed.

I also have a calibration problem with my GT2. On sart-up it rotates to the right but not to the left. It also doesn't stop centered, it stops at the "11 o'clock" position.

That's normal. Once you put it into one of the console modes it centers out.
