Anyone else like Brand New?

It's hard to give a solid genre for them...they started out as Pop Punk, then went to more of indie/pop rock...and now indie/progressive rock...

Anyway, any other fans here?

They are one of my favorite modern bands, I like all 3 of their albums.

Deja Entendu is my favorite, followed by The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me, then Your Favorite Weapon.

YFW is good pop punk but obviouslly their later stuff is much better.

Jesse is a great lyricist and vocalist.

:shrugs: So I guess everyone else that likes SOAD does too... no problem.

I only listen to their old stuff though. Either way I don't go by sub-genre because it's retarded anyway.

Well, with all due respect I have to disagree. The album makes me cringe every time I hear a song. From the first to the last very painful note, I am on edge with the most painful agony that hasn't been experienced since they constantly played Celine Dion on the radio. In short, I feel YFW is a plauge, and should be discontinued before Brand New scares away new fans. :scared:

EDIT: I should also add that Deja Entandeu was my first album to hear from them, and I was really impressed. Hearing a style change as such may be what made my decision, but It could also be the fact that my Girlfriend seems to be endlessly infatuated with YFW. It's pretty much the only cd she ever plays...

"The No Seatbelt Song" and "Soco Amaretto Lime" are 2 really, really great songs. SeventyTimes 7 is very very good as well.

For me its: Deja > TDAGARIM > YFW
