Not to be a jerk or anything, but it's braking, not breaking.

You guys, neon_duke and battle_ stage should look up the fatmouse thread.

[edit] credit given to ND for softening his remarks.

The first step to shorter braking distances is good tires. If your car is getting into the ABS at full brake pressure with the stock binders, then you will need to upgrade the rubber before anything else.

To fully optimize braking with the BBC, you will need to determine which end of the car is locking up first under the brakes. Sometimes an outside view during a replay will help. Ideally, you want the front tires to lock up just right before the rear ones do.

What sorta brake settings do you guys have on your cars. I almost always use '18' on the fron and '16' or '15' on the back but I find that braking pretty hard from high speeds (205ks plus) I get smoke from the front tyres (locking?).

Just curious as to what you guys run? :)

I usually start at 15 and 15. Too much brake power makes it hard to avoid locking them up. I also usually run them the same number front and back because I prefer to have the rears braking harder than normal to help the car rotate under deacceleration.

I really really really - really - hate understeer.
