I finally fixed my pedals and played gt4 for the 1st time in 6 months today. I decided to see if the differences between the rx7 and rx8 were the same as in real life by driving on the nurburgring. Anywayz they are but i noticed something strange when watching the replay of my RX7 spirit R...

The breaks were ALWAYS glowing?! i drifted about 70% of the turns and wasnt that heavy on the breaks so i dont understand... is it a glitch that is well known or has this only happened to me?

Are you sure you didn't have brakes lightly applied all the time? You talked about fixing pedals so this might cause the problem.

nope i dont think its my pedals.. i tried with the ds2 on another course and they're still glowing. i'm gonna restart the game and see if its still there

From this picture (one of my own, no copyright violences ;)) you can see that they SHOULDN'T glow all the time. This is also the first time I hear about it.

That's not brake glow...it's the caliper assembly, painted red a la Brembo

i'm not stupid lol. the breaks were glowing. not the caliphers. it stopped after i restarted the ps2 and cleaned the cd.

It would be good to know what was the color of the car & when you bought it. I would like to see a full video of my brakes glowing, lol!

Ok, first let's get some clear here, the glowing brakes thing isn't a glitch. In real life, when brakes get super hot, the look red and you can clearly see it with the movement. If you watched a live night race, eg: The 24 Hours Of Le Mans, Seabring 24 hours, you'll notice that the breaks on the cars a glowing. The answer is that they are super hot and cant cool down fast enough in between the brakeing into the turns. So, to achive the realism of real racing, the designers of Gran Tursimo decided to put this on most of the cars. This only happens on the high powered cars and also all the race cars. So, just so you know that it isn't a glitch, your cars are just real powerful and your brakes dont cool down fast enough.

Im pretty sure everyone here knows that but the original poster was refering to a stock road RX7 that the brakes stayed glowing for long periods of time even with light braking. That isnt normal.

It looks like your breaks are broken. You don't want to brake your breaks.
