Did anyone else use the map scale adjustment in gt5 or was it just me?
I thought it was a great feature for interior view drivers, set at it's maximum size it was like a little radar screen. Great for seeing traffic around the car,
I need it back in gt6!

For the love of all that is holy yes, why take away features? This irritates me more than anything that didn't return from GT5. Yeah there is side indicators but how about when they're just a bit too far away and out of sight? No zoom on the map has created more car contact for me while trying to battle on track.

Yes I miss it a lot too. The side indicators are ok, but it's not as effective as the track map zoomed at the max. Bring it back for sure.

My guess is it requires more processing and may have an adverse effect on other aspects of the race

I'm pretty sure it's on somewhere. I like having a full track view('fit to track'), but when I started it was zoomed in, I managed to change it somewhere. Unless I'm misinterpreting you.

I haven't been able to find any adjustment yet.

yes bring it back please, there's way too much clutter on my screen.

It can be adjusted between full track view and roughly medium-zoom from GT5. Neither have much value unless you don't know the track, although the closer view can help you see if someone is coming when you pull onto the track after parking/crashing. I just leave it off.

The blindspot indicators are largely useless, since they only register cars within a couple feet of you, so you can't see if someone is well inside as you sweep into a corner, and they also register cars that are close but fully behind you(which encourages you to ignore them). They also don't show you if someone is closing and preparing to move to the inside/outside.

Since the mirrors are neither accurate nor reliably visible, and the blindspot arrows are woefully inadequate, and the sounds give virtually no indication of the other cars' actual positions, we NEED to have the map options returned to the way they were in GT5. The GT5 map was one of the best tools for enabling actual clean racing in any racing game I've played, even though many people never used it at a proper setting. But those of us who did could see the people who didn't pay attention swerving at us in advance and thus avoid them. Its removal is easily among the worst setbacks in GT6.

Glad I'm not the only one, it's probably the only thing I miss from gt5,
PLEASE bring it back!

I like it gone, I used it as a crutch before but now paying attention and using the look around buttons are just as good.
It also discourages you from putting the car in dumb positions notably in blind spots. If you are only close enough to get to the back quarter panel, it's probably best to fall in behind

Yes I used it, and loved it. was graet for checking your lines. Sad to see it go:(.

Scale 2 was better than that new indicator arrow.

Bring it back!

yes, it was wonderful being able to actually use the map to see the cars next to you... now it's just a waste of screen realestate.

Didn't use it myself but I agree that a bit more customization of the on-screen display would be nice. I like to race with all info switched off, but I still would like to see the lap counter and lap times pop up for a few seconds.

The HUD functionality needs an upgrade DESPERATELY! Every instrument should be either removeable or resizeable INDIVIDUALLY. While doing license tests, the only way to get all the names of my friends and their lines off of my screen was to turn the HUD off completely, or to be lucky enough to know the track better than them and boss the competition on turn one (Doing the license offline may be an option, I'm uncertain, but that is still inexcusable). PD are masters of physics, lighting, and modeling, but noobs at interface and functionality. I understand they don't want to outsource, but they handle GT too much as a simulator and too littleas a game. Forgetting about the entertainment/functionality/aesthetics of modern gaming. It's ridiculous considering this is the 6th iteration of this game.

"Could you please bring back the Map Scale Adjustment? Thank you in advance!"

I even made it so you can keep the exclamation mark.

I'd prefer to have it back as well.

you know you show/hide ghost by pressing up on your dpad?

you can also reassign it to any button in the options menu

My d-pad is set to the RA function "Select +". Didn't know the "Player Names" were considered "Ghosts"... : /

I never used it, always had mine set to full. That said, it's so annoying when PD mindlessly remove features that were relied upon by so many. I say bring it back & give people the option.

👍
