Well, technical failures happen... engines blowing up, autolog disconnecting... you swear a lot, punch your mechanic in the balls and then you return the next race even stronger than before!

But its really a bloody shame that you disco'd Zee - imagine if you would ve been there too and the three of us all blasting down start/finish towards the checkered flag! Oh damn when is it gonna be Sunday again, cant wait! And me loves Donington! :D

here it is the vid,

And im thinking everyone is going to enjoy this championship and all of us are still smiling, i am, and i cant wait for next week, MAGIC

Great drive hondy, yeah on your veiw we wasn't even close on turn 3, yet on my screen we hit MAD. On your veiw it looked more like Delta had spun me, I knew i should have recorded it. Pushed hard after that, banging in 52s but it wasn't enough. Yes can't wait for the next round 👍 Oh Zee G27 PC world Sale on £169.99 at the mo 16 hour count down :D

Have a look at how close the TT times were...great racing guys :)

Thank you again for the video hondy...I am still crying about that DC :grumpy:

Well done FLX for setting the fastest laptime of the race..... 00.51:888 :)

and a welcome back to Rommie...a bit rusted and out of the top 3...but that is when he comes back with vengeance :sly:

Oh Zee G27 PC world Sale on £169.99 at the mo 16 hour count down :D

Good man Zee its a steal at that price 👍 not sure on the points standing is that right

mmm...think I have it right now :)

Results updated. Remember we are running :

1) a GT1 class....with its own 1st, 2nd, 3rd....etc
2) a GT3 class...same as above
3) TT where the points are awarded as we finish on the line (but the GT3 can earn 5 bonus points if they finish ahead of a GT1 car)

My head is spinning...thanks hondy :):)

So at :36 in the video, you can see I nudged you a little bit, zeeco. But that little nudge sent me flying into the wall. I really thought someone hit me.

I'm gonna play in a different view next time and see if that helps any. Might try the Matech GT1 as well...

I think zee there's 2 point missing in my points .i think i DC after you so should be iam in place 4 not 5 after you but its ok just 2point .but you should but role for the DC how it goes by the poistion when the drive DC or who DC first and second thanks mate good one

I think we should do it like in a real race, so who covered more distance before DC should be placed above the other. I m not totally sure which one of you came farther, looks to me like you DC'd in the same lap on almost the same spot.

PS @ Jay: Accidents like that just happen. Shift 2s funky collision system unfortunately makes a huge drama out of them. But there is no way Zee could have seen you coming from that angle and get his old farty a** out the way in time. :D

both guys DC happened on lap 10 zee was in 2nd at the time of his DC and sam was behind him 6th i think, ( i may be wrong on your position sam but you were behind zee) so zee finished ahead off sam,

1) a GT1 class....with its own 1st, 2nd, 3rd....etc
2) a GT3 class...same as above
3) TT where the points are awarded as we finish on the line (but the GT3 can earn 5 bonus points if they finish ahead of a GT1 car)

thats close zee mate but not quite there it sould read

1) a GT1 class....with its own 1st, 2nd, 3rd....etc for both the race and tt
2) a GT3 class...same as above

but the GT3 can earn 5 bonus points if they finish ahead of a GT1 car in the race and 10 if they do the fastest lap in the race only

GT1 cars get 2 points for fastest lap in the race only

NO BONUS POINTS IN THE TT

and get his old farty a** out the way in time. :D

how do you know what Zees A** looks like FLX????????:sly:

Luckily I dont. If you dunno hondy, Zee's Racing team in the combo championship was call Team Old Farts Racing or something like that! :D

Donington Tuning tip, to avoid messing the track up with blue bales at the end of dunlop straight, max top speed out just before the braking point, so the limiter is a extra reminder of the braking point, last thing we want is blue bales all over the gaff on race day

Why not? Thats some cool Mario Kart flashback, they look like the Castle Bowser Stonefaces that smashed you... only in blue! :D

just a quick heads up, Donington nat is going to be replaced this week with Donington GP,

Donington GP will be replaced with london white hall,

this is due to the blue bales at the end off the straight being knocked into the middle of the track in some guys screen but not everyones, this is causing a unfair advantage to some racers,

sorry guys

Gents....we have a problem :ouch:

It's blue and it is parked at the last corner of Donington National. We did some practice two nights now and it is just a source of irritation and is going to spoil the race on Sunday. Just unavoidable that someone is going to hit them at some point and block the corner. So we are going to scrap Donington National and do Donington GP on Sunday 04/12/12. Donington GP will be replaced by London Whitehall Drive.

However Donington GP has the blue Mario Kart's stacked on the last corner...close to the inside. If you follow the racing line you will avoid them. They are not as obstrusive as the National....much easier to avoid. So consentrate in your practice to follow a line not to close to the inside of that corner. It will be slower anyway if you do.

Sorry about this but rather change now, than have a big mess on Sunday 👍

mmm be warned....flesh8u may be on level 16 but he is a fast dude. Don't say I did not warn you :)

edit: lol hondy you were here first

I have a LOT to learn about online racing when the actual purpose is to have a clean race. I was waiting for the "doink" in the ass at the start, and it didn't come! Though I think I plunked one or two of you this afternoon- sorry about that :-)

That was fun. Thanks for having me....

Cam you did well mate. I am sure you are going to enjoy it. Yeah we race clean, all of us......good speed 👍

Shoot Zee, I couldn't even see bloody Steve after the first 7seconds...it's a bit easier having a faster class car too... Question, other than safety, why do they put that stupid kitty litter on the corners? More hard top would surely make me even faster!!!!

Hondy: my wife wants to know if you're an Aussie... I'm a kiwi living state side, she thought your posts smacked of Australian humor. At least she thinks I am now just a geek playing racing games, not hiding out in the basement reading porn....she caught me in the chat room and when she asked me to get the door and I said, " can't I'm in e chat room...." she came down and insisted that she see what I was doing!!! Classic!

lmao, thats class, no mate i am a very proud scotsman, the flying scotsman, lol or as FLX would say, the flying hondsman, lol,

and yes i am the king of the nuts, lol, you sould see me in my escort, lol

Question about driving style.... Steve and Hondy, I notice that sometimes you really slide the car around the corners, others you take wide and on the run off area without sliding, others you take slowing down with little hint of slide or loss of traction at the wheels. Is that a car and race track situational deal, or do either of you find it just faster to sling it round the corners?

I started to get the hang of doing a bit of a power slide this afternoon, but sometimes it seemed slower than being clean, other times if I nailed it, then I seemed to really blast around the corner.

Correct me if a I am wrong, I am not sure I have this correct, but I think what I was doing was getting of the gas a bit, turning in, and then flooring it to push the rear end around. The problem for me is that I can't replicate the power slide that works. I seem to do it and I dont know what it was that I specifically did to get the right result. Other times I do this and it sort of works, but I scrub off a ton of speed...

Finally, does anyone know if the setup instructions and info that is on screen when you set up the car is available in printout PDF or something. I need to learn what each thing does. I am just copying the renown tunings as they are. If that's a good thing, then I'll leave it alone, though I suspect you fast guys know how to tweak it just a bit better than most.

Thanks again, i might just really get into this :-)

I had to go check...yes. I have abs, traction control, and I forget the other one. They are basically default settings for "NORMAL - MEDIUM" settings for when I have been doing the CAREER mode. I don't know enough about what each one really does and how it would help/hurt me. I mean, I know ABS is the braking, and traction control helps keep me going straight, but I don;'t know if turing them off or down would help or hurt me.

When I first got the game I saw that hard core people race with NO ASSISTS. Well heck I tried that and I sucked the ass end out of a skunk I was so bad! So I just used the default settings on medium.

Should I try something different? I am guessing its time to take of the training wheels I am used to huh?
