I don't understand ^^^^that post, i opened the xls, but not 100% clear.

Anyway.
I bought a new jaguar XKR-S '11, and used it for both drift events.
Based the suspension on shmogt's(Banned?) suspension of the BMW VGT.
I'm a noob at drifting, but it did the job, i needed handbrake to get the drift better started.

if you use my offline database program?
download zip, the .csv and foto are in the zip.
Import csv and in editmode add the picture into that record, and the tune is in your database.

Right, testing your tune now! I am completely useless at drifting, so if I can get a gold on this, then you know that your tune is great!

EDIT: Aaand results? I keep screwing up Sector 2 and Sector 3, so I keep ending up with a score of about 900 or so...

You need a bit of speed, and keep the nose of the car close to the inside of the corner.
In my sig there is a link to my youtube, both drift events are uploaded.
See how i did it.
I use the raceline so i know were the nose of the car should be.

So i tried this tune.
First i get 565pp when i apply all settings?
Needed to get to know the car, maybe it's the lsd settings or the weight.
But i had to watch out that i did not make a 360.
I could not improve my previous points.Managed to get 5570, but did not improve my 5770 from my Jaguar XKR-S, I think it is my drivingstyle that messed it up.
But then again, i started with the drift events a few months ago.
So still learning.
Also tried it at the sierra drift, but i could not handle it.
Interesting tune, i added it in my database so i will try/use it again another time.

I wouldn't worry about the PP, its not important in drift events. My guess would be that you've done an oil change on the car (+5% power).
Its not an easy section to score points on to be honest, I think I was around 6500 in the Aston but I only ran it a few times after putting the base tune on it. The XK Coupe was a lot easier to score points with, the engine has a lot more torque in relation to BHP which makes it easier to spin the tyres up, I was around 8500 earlier with it. The key is to go slow and keep tight to the racing line, if you go in too fast and push wide you'll struggle to score and mess up your line for the next corner.
My advice for learning a car would be to take it to Tsukuba, its a really good short course with a good variety of corners. 👍

I can't agree.
car's behave diffrent on some tracks.
Tsukuba has not much height differences.
Sierra has some downhill parts.
I always learn the car at the track on that event.

But, i did not change anything on your tune, just full gearbox and max speed to 260KMH.
If i change toe, lsd, and weight distribution a bit, i could manage the car better.
What is meesed up in the game is the following:
if you enter the corner, brake and slide without gas, the game counts it as a drift.
A drift is spinning rearwheels, not a brake slide. At least that is my knowledge from drifting.
When the slide seems to stop, i spin the rearwheels a bit or full to keep the angle.

When i first tried the drift events, i sometimes got a drift, but on the outside of the corners but still on the track with all fours, but no points, and that kept me a long time away from drift events.
Now i know, the front needs to be close at the raceline to get points.
I even got my first 4WD drift at that last 4wd drift event. So there is progress.
Last week i did the coffeebrake drifts, needed 6 tries for each event to get the gold.
Half hour and all three were done.
I don't give up.
O, what helped was watching the leaderboard replays at an season events.

What I mean is that it sounds like you need more time to get comfortable controlling the car and Tsukuba is the perfect place for that. I know that cars react differently on different tracks, I'm quite experienced at both tuning and drifting.

Drifting means to keep the rear of the car at a greater slip angle than the front whilst cornering, this can be achieved with throttle, brakes and momentum. You don't have to be on the throttle all the time for it to be a drift.

Try being more polite next time, I'm only trying to use my experience to help you

Whoeps, sorry, i think you got me wrong, or i wrote indeed impolite and i did not notice..
Not my intention.

I do not mean it like you think or read it.
What i meant is.
I'm not good at drifting, i can train like you say, but i can't apply that training properly at a other track.
I can only get a drift when i keep training at the track from that event.
The problem is me..

I did not want to offend you.Never ever.
So sorry for that, really not my intention.
I'm going to read my previous post again, and see what i did.
Again, sorry, not my intention to be impolite.

I see what i did.
There should be written: "i can't agree from my experience, i'm always messing up with drifting.
Even if i train, i willl mess it up on another track.
My mind knows what to do, but my hands don't"

and yes, i read the rest and that's also not very good written by me.

Ok man, no problem 👍

Like all other branches of motor sport it just takes practice. You need to get comfortable with initiating drifts and sustaining them by using the throttle, brakes and steering. You'll struggle to get comfortable if you are only running sections because of the short time you spend in the car under pressure to score points.

I suggested Tsukuba because it has all the basic types of corners, you can first learn these individually and then learn to string them together.
The 1st corner is a basic hairpin, 2nd and 3rd corners are an open chicane, 4th corner is a hairpin that tightens on exit, 5 is a 90 degree, 6 is an open elbow, 7 is a tight hairpin that opens on exit, 8 is a fast sweeper.

By learning what technique suits these corners you will be able to apply it to any other circuit in the game because all circuits are constructed of these same basic types of corners. You might need to alter the speed or angle that you approach corners on other circuits but at least you'll have some idea of where to aim for and what you should be doing. 👍

 Thank for accepting my sorry.
I understand what you said, and i will try to train, but i have to look if i can train tsukuba with drift points. So i know if my drift is accepted by the game.
i think it's in arcade mode.I think i should also train on that short suzuka track, i've seen on youtube.
Some people use that track too for drifting.

Problem is also time.Currently working on a special version of my offline database program.
@SGETI asked for a version that suits his eyes better.Pff, must say, almost done.
I'm getting tired.

There is a drift mode in arcade, you can run it in sectors or full lap drifts if you want. Its a good idea to check that what you are doing is scoring points if that is your aim but don't become preoccupied by it, try to focus on honing your technique rather than upping your score. Once you have the basic techniques dialled then it is easy to score points 👍

Suzuka East is good fun, works better with high powered cars than Tsukuba which is more suited to lower powered machines. Autumn ring and SSR5 are also good tracks for practising, Streets of Willow can be good as well but can be frustrating due to the unforgiving nature of the dirt next to the track. Just try and run a few laps when ever you get the chance, try to think about what you are doing and how its affecting things then apply that to doing it better next time, you'll be stringing whole laps together in no time
