Did anyone hear what Jeremy Clarkson said?
My God... -99 Respect points

Yeh and it was quite clearly a joke.

Anyway its a shame labour are going back to their traditional ways as a mouthpiece for the trade unions did no one see the success of the national government in the 1930's?

the global welfare state collapsing and strikes like this(and across the globe) is a sign of this. the next insitution to collapse will be the military welfare state.

Yep, that's what help for "heroes" is about? isn't it?

The military institutions could stand a little paring back, and a breathing time of reduced interventions, regime change and deadly combat.

However, it would seriously bother my personal plans if institutions such as banks, insurance companies, municipal and state governments started going under.

But apparently that is part of the risk "we" take for leveraged debt used to finance real estate, stock and commodity speculation, plus your interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan.

The theorists told us it would all pay for itself and we'd all be better off for it.

Oh well, win a few, lose a few.

Respectfully submitted,
Steve

Classic Clarkson, love it..

You won't necessarily like what he has written in the Sun...he's crossed a line now. I won't say more as its going to be off topic, I'm sure someone will make the relevant thread soon enough.

Meh, he has a point. I hold the same opinion on that.

And the Telegraph reveals today that Clarkson was given the OK by One Show producers to make a joke about people on strike getting shot.

The other interesting news is that Ofcom counters that the majority of people complaining haven't see the full clip. They have only seen the abbreviated YouTube clip that excludes the part about the strikes being wonderful.

TheSun
The strike boosted store customers by 38.3 per cent as people spent the day Christmas shopping, retail analysts Experian said.
