Hi everyone,

has anyone of you a 1:10 brushless car at home? I'm wondering why noone has opened a thread about brushless cars.

They're cheap in cpomparison to normal engines because you don't have to "turen the coals" and a brushless offers a lot of power per volt. I'll make a video when I can drive my brushless again. It's so much fun even with 6 cells which means that my engine runs with nearly 34.000 rpm. with 8 cells over 40.000. Great to chase nitrous cars with my "little" brushless engine.

Brushless drivers come on, post your experience or maybe questions about it. I'll try to help.

Yes. There's no noise and you can drive with a brushless car whereever you want. As they are no nitrous powered cars you hardly can hear them so yes they're quiet.

The brushless cars that I have seen are far from silent, they make a very annoying high pitched whine. But they are insanely fast for electric cars.

Then I guess they were not very well adjusted. I drive one with belt drive and it's really quiet. Did they use a fully suspended drive?

Or maybe they use a monster engine. I'm driving a Lehner Basic with 4.200 rpm / volt. With 8 cells as I drive them over 40.000 rpm. But it's really quiet. Will make a video when I'm driving with it. Unfortunately it's only raining over here.
 
Older thread, but I agree I have NEVER heard a silent brushless. My brushless stampede (SS5800 Novak currently, going to Mamba) whines, not louder than a brushed setup, but it's far from silent. Brushless crawlers are actually louder than brushed. And it's nitro, not nitrous, two completely diffrent chemicals there. Nitro = Nitromethane, Nitrous = Nitrous Oxide.
 
what "mini scale" 1:18 off-road truck would you guys reccomend? (most fun for your money) i have an old rc car now but i need a new esc for it as my dad drove it into the curb backwards and broke the old ceramic so should and the antenna also snapped off the radio so should i buy a new esc and antenna or buy a new carn all together?
