Ever since its inception in 2008, the subscription based simulation service, iRacing, has often been lauded as the racing simulation service of the generation. Accurately modelled race tracks, vehicles, tyre and physics boast virtual experiences that several real-life motorsport icons have come to swear by.
In a world where renowned racing franchises release stylized simulators across gaming systems every year for fear of their offerings going stale, IRacing has persisted – Garnering an audience of over 60,000 in the years that have been, while steadily growing that number daily. The reason - A growing, evolving online Community.
Long time members Kip Stephens and Steve Richardson however, yearned for more - A structured, professional virtual Touring Car championship that would in many ways mimic, if not surpass the actual British Touring Car Championship.
A yearning that led them to putting together a small group of Touring Car enthusiasts, calling it the British Sim Racers, before eventually launching IRacing's first ever structured, most professionaly Touring Car championship in 2013.

Since then, the group has only grown in the past couple of years, having organized up to Eight varied seasons that have brought together real-world professionals and virtual enthusiasts alike, live streams & commentaries and even a prize fund of $1,000 for competing drivers and teams - before hitting a milestone like none other.
As its biggest season, number nine, launched with a 35 race, 102 round schedule, $10,000 prize fund and a new name - The BSRTC Pro Series- on the 1st of March earlier this year, MotorsTV, Europe's largest Motorsport channel sought to broadcast the fabled championship to an audience base of nearly 41 different European countries.
A deal was struck and since the championship's 19th seasonal race this year, MotorsTV has been covering every race on a weekly basis and will proceed to do so till the end of the season on December 3rd. It is important to note however, that these races are broadcast two weeks post their actual occurrences, which can be caught on ApexRacingTV's Youtube channel that not only streams the races , with commentary, live every week on Thursday at 8 P.M GMT , but is also responsible for editing and delivering the recorded streams to MotorsTV for the television broadcast.

Higher Eclectic Ground meanwhile, is an indie video game and art community that serves to provide a platform for independent video game developers, gaming innovators and other artists to gain exposure and broaden their audience.
And so, it will be working closely with the BSRTC community henceforth - bringing every racing enthusiast that lies within its own indie video game and art movement - an in-depth insight into the sim-racing phenomenon's happenings, best of the best race highlights, gossips, driver tete-a-tete's, creativity and so much more.
All of this of course, will be posted on this thread as they happen - hoping to pique the interest of IRacing fans that lurk within GTPlanet by keeping them updated of all happenings.
To set it all in motion - We've spent the better half of this month putting together its dramatic rise to national popularity in an elaborate never-seen-before biography of sorts; one that traces its rise from Stephens and Richardson's imagination all the way back in 2008 to their vision of converting it into a mainstream brand today. This biography can be found on our blog here.
The biography also explains where the group can be found. For any other questions, I'll be here to interact with.
