with water at +50% i might have to use full wet tires :P... too bad we do not get to race in the bad weather with rain on the car flowing around and crystal sweepers on...

is it the same in r2 too?

50% is inters!!

not for me, anything over 30% is full wet. I see no use 4 intermediate since with 20% water i'm faster with slicks...

Really?

0-20% Softs 03s-08s, 20-50% 08-13s anything above 50% full wets :/

Water will hopefully be similar for both races. I'll reset the track in between races and set it around 50-60% as we won't need as long to start.

i bet this race is gonna be a convoluted mess and audi will uber win it :D

with up to 30% wet i can stay under 2.08 this is why i might consider starting full wet for 2 laps and then go in for dry tires

I guess I'll refer to what I said the other day... if it was 100% wet (which is what you wanted) then yes, we probably would. When it's like this, we probably won't. We might, but I reckon we stand as much chance as anyone else.

But hey, let's not let this different option, which harms us and benefits the rest, get in the way of your moaning.

----------

I'll be resetting the track at exactly 7pm, putting it on 100% water and allowing it to drop while we do checks and grid. If we have to wait a little extra to allow the water down to 50 or so percent then so be it. If people really want, the race can start nearer 60% if we're all ready to go. Bear in mind this would probably involve using Wets.

btw rolo how is the time there? we had time shift here and by my standards we start in 2 hours is this correct?

As it stands the race is due to begin in 1 hour and 54 minutes time. We also had a time shift -1hr last Saturday night.

I'm opening Geeky's lounge stupidly early now, in case people want to get in some last-minute practice. 👍 (and because I have nothing else to do right now :p)

I'm saving my skillz for later, I'll be there around 6:45pm :)

You couldnt have summed it up any greater

I really dont understand your point karsten.

On a completely dry track, FF>4WD

On a completely wet track, 4WD>FF

Do you not agree?

Rolo is levelling this by having half half. Beginning of the race should theoretically help the 4WD but as the track dries, FF have the advantage. Really not hard to understand in my opinion...

T1 with 50% water on cold tyres is just suicide!!

Rolo your going to have some stewarding to do and lots of it :sly:

Haven't had any testing yet...
Am I stupid or something, but doesn't the track settings say "surface water at race start"? As that the surface water will be exactly the amount set, when the race starts?

Well, people should know the conditions and should drive to them. Rain is no excuse! We will be punishing crashes!

It's the amount when the track is reset, technically. The race never starts at the surface water you set, which is very annoying!

looking forward to spending most of my time this weekend stewarding the races

Lol.

Really wanted to make it tonight as was quite hopeful of a podium, unfortunately Scrumpy Jack has other ideas.

Good luck guys, go Skeg!!! :D

A quick word of warning folks - if your last run was on dry tyres, the game will remember that as your current tyre choice.

Be careful of starting in the wet on dries! I fell foul of that in a test race... Please double check your tyres after the track is reset! :) We don't want to be continually restarting and resetting track for people who don't!

7 tonight is a bit of a disappointment... we'll definitely need to advertise I think. We could list newbies as reserves, but let's face it, they'll be racing every week, by the looks of it.

Please wait for me in race 2. Connection playing up

Just to let you guys know, I will be checking white lines on pit exit... I saw one or two of you cross!

5 second time penalties for offenders.

How was the race tonight guys?

Shame i missed this week...would have been fun driving in the wet

Well, 5th place in both races but it could have been much better

In race 1 my gearing was too high and my tyre strategy didn't work because I messed my 1 lap in clean air up

In race 2 I drove like a complete prune, especially killa. Sorry mate... thanks for letting me through, I think I knocked you off on the last lap but I didn't let you through because: 1) I wasn't sure what happened, and 2) Julle was right behind you and I wasn't keen on losing 2+ places... a bit selfish I know, but anyone will tell you that 95% of the time I let cars through if I mess up :)

I think this week was just a one-off, lots of unfortunate circumstances as you said

What about the main straight, near the pit wall? I'm sure I saw you cross that one

Sorry guys esp rolo for my overshoot T1 race 1 :guilty: I will take any penalty given to me.

I think the wet settings we used worked well, personally. I just think it's a real shame about the turnout. But hey, less work for the stewards then!

I'm gonna have to penalise you therefore for purposely not yielding position. :nervous:

I agree, fingers crossed for a larger grid next Friday.

That line has always been free to cross. I'm talking about the pit exit line down the middle of the main straight.

Speaking of this line... a number of 5 second penalties have been dished out. JulleGaard, Cosworth-1986, skengdigi and gedi69 crossed this line in both races, and have therefore been given time penalties in both races.

As a result of a separate incident, killa has had his 6th place in Race 2 swapped with Julle's 7th place.

This has affected the results, and the current provisional results have been posted below. Warnings are also in the process of being issued, and these will be confirmed later.

Sorry guys esp rolo for my overshoot T1 race 1 :guilty: I will take any penalty given to me.

You've been given a warning for that overshoot. I have to be consistent with these penalties, even if it's my team-mate, or me :nervous:

Provisional Race 1:

1. karsten_beoulve
2. gedi69
3. rolo912011
4. skengdigi
5. Cosworth-1986
6. JulleGaard

Provisional Race 2:

1. karsten_beoulve
2. skengdigi
3. rolo912011
4. gedi69
5. Cosworth-1986
6. JulleGaard
7. killa_kandy

Fastest Lap of the night went to killa_kandy, who set a 2:03.963 in Race 2.

Of course, you have right of appeal as always - get in touch if you want to challenge a decision.

how comes i'm first in r2? impossib le skeng had it by a mile

edited: oh because of the white line crossing? i thought he was farther away then 5 seconds

He won by 3.4 seconds, and got a 5 second penalty for crossing the pit lane exit line. He admitted himself he slowed down to watch your battle with gedi unfold :scared:

Fair enough but I'd like someone to look at it anyway, because I'm not certain what happened and I did hesitate over it (race 2, last lap)

Blind spots and that

Why am I 4th in race 2?
