Monza Volvo S60 Findings

Turbo Stage 1 ~ 2.04.386 max torque 49.4

Turbo Stage 2 ~ 2.04.071 max torque 49.9

Turbo Stage 3 ~ 2.04.113max torque 48.0

I would punt for the stage 2 all day long if turbos were open with time i could go a little quicker than aboves time. The stage 3 is just isnt suited to 305bhp imo.

 Really good times!! Now I have a goal. One question, was it with tyre wear?

i'll train intensively later today... but i doubt i can get below 2:07 in any way. Mybe my gearing is wrong?

Maybe:idea: If you send me your car i will gear it as mine but wont be able to return until tomorrow.

My gearing was the default. The top speed i think is 240 and i get 226 at the end of the straight, but i'm not totally sure

try to take a look at it guys

corrected the url

the usage is really easy just inserte the points in the race columns. don't play with the math :D add to the standard points the pole and fastest laps bonus too. i didn't because i have no clue who made the fastets and pole at the 2 races if you guys tell me i'll insert them

I know I used a spreadsheet, but your one looks amazing :D well done, very useful

can you tell me who made the pole and fastests laps in the 2 races so that i add the points to them and we have an accurate rank?

My best time so far, using a combo of JB's settings and my own is 2:01.034

Hoping to get into the 2:00's today

I am sorry all, the video for race two has had some problems so it will be a bit late,

yeah, youtube said I dont have the right to :S
and it only recorded a blank screen, eventhough I saw it all correct, not forgetting it was too long.

I hope my other attempt will do ;)

*****?

We can rename it if you want? ;) has a nice ring to it.
What do people think for next season???
Noo! Personally I think it'll be less popular if it isn't strongly based on a real-life series.

I'm liking Monza so far... easy to learn, hard to master. 2'04.5 so far...

I just completed a quick version which is just as good, and took all your advice for the commentary :D

2:07.4 seems it's my limit... do you guys play with abs on and what level?

Usually 1.

I just asked my friend about the SC role, the biggest problem IMO would be that he's American (no offence) and that times may cause problems but lets wait and see

Try turning the ABS off. It will give you a much better appreciation of what the car is actually doing. ABS in GT just mushes everything. With it off, of course you need to be careful under braking, but it might just help you get faster - once you get past the tyres locked up smoking into every corner!

ah, but I've got the 2011 dvd signed by Matt Neal, Gordon Shedden and Andrew Jordan ;)

Also I keep doing 2:05s around Monza!? What am I doing wrong!!!!!

As videos done :D

Good one Geeky! Only next time can you use the national anthem of the winner (just an idea)?

As silly as it sounds, try going into the corner slightly slower. Monza's all about corner exit speed. Even if you are only exiting by 5mph faster, it will make a difference. Slow in, fast out.

Setup wise you are really looking for straight line speed, so you'll want to use less toe. Start with 0.00 at both front and rear and tweak as necessary to dial out the understeer.

And be smooth.
