Its hugely disrespectful for such an iconic car though, the Veyron is a huge deal, so just to cut the HP just like that is ridiculous ... Im very suprised Bugatti have been happy to let them do this!

Since forever there's been complaints about gt events having a single opponent which dominates all. Then PD goes and does something about it, and still people complain.
The GT5 bhp ratings are final output, aren't they? I'm pretty sure I read that the 1001 bhp advertised by VW is the theoretical bhp at the pistons. Still, it's legal to say it

It's "Supposed" to be higher than 1001hp to take into effect height above sea level in different countries. But that is all at the fly wheel figures, not Wheel HP.

Hang on a second! I never complained about fast opponents! I want more of them thanks very much! All I'm saying is that the Bugatti Veyron has 1001BHP IRL! How can you dumb the Veyron down! It should have been left at 1000HP. Yes you can dumb down opponents as much as you want, but at least let me race opponents that are realstic? Why not just put a Ford GT40 in its place or something like that?
