Has anyone tried the Veyron on the Route X DLC?
If yes, can you simulate fuel consumption? If so, does the Veyron really only go last7 minutes at full speed on a full tank?

I cant test it as i dont have the DLC pack.

If someone could post a video of this it would be appreciated.

I'll drive one of my Bugatti's tonight to check...

No video as I'm too lazy for that....or maybe....lets see :)

Tested standard (no changes made,, standard tires, TCS off, manually driven) Veyron yesterday, got 0-100 kmh in 2.4xx seconds.
Tested some more, but will write down the results this week and probably produce them here.

I hate Veyron :( It is a drag easy-win car ,it handles like a brick and it wastes too much gasoline in top speed :(

Stock Veyron
0km
Oil Change
Route X Free Run

18 minutes 47 seconds
4 laps
78 liters used.
uphill 386kph low
downhill 404kph high
corner 387kph low
flat straight 396kph steady

Fastest Lap
3. 4 minutes 37.741 seconds

Pretty sure GT doesn't simulate gas tank size (don't all of the cars have the same size tank in this game?) ...unless that changed in a patch.

It could be that the engineers never tested the car to see how long it would run at full throttle. They just did calculations that came to that conclusion; 10 minutes at full throttle.

Chances are that once up to speed the car could run longer.

If I remember correctly the tires were the limiting factor. They could only run until they melted (about 10 minutes at 250+ mph). So you'd still have fuel to burn, so to speak ;) after the tires started to come apart.

My stock with oil change (brand new) used up 22 liters per lap (from start to pitlane - only did 1 lap). However keep in mind that fuel tanks for all cars in GT5 are 100L, not their actual size.
Managed 397 km/h on a level straight, slightly over 400 downhill, nowhere near 408 kmh though.

408 kmh was achieved with the car in high speed mode which GT5 does not do. The rear wing stays down when going for top speed in that mode.

I promised to report my test...
After 2 laps (~9 minutes), still a half full tank...

0-60 1.734sec haha Veyron Killer lol Now i need the tune tranny again was runing 335 bump drafting a veyron. haha we sadly beat the x1 dude lol he **** in his pants when we passed by on the straight sadly we lost him on the turns. One of my FAvorite Tracks Yet THankis Kaz And PD dlc keep geting Better

Modified*, but not tuned to perfection.

* TC 5 cuz I didn't change default. Test performed using RS tires, engine/chasis refresh

I cant remember what Top Gear said, just did a quick Google search and that's the first answer I got.

I think the quote was something like the Veyron's tires last 15mins at top speed but the good news is, it runs out of fuel in 12mins.

lol, it's imaginable that the Veyron soon run out of petroleum fuel at a top velocity for its large horsepower and prodigious size of engine mounted in the rear... :nervous:

If I had Veyron owning kind of money I know Fuel economy would be low on my list of concerns

The Veyron's tank is actually 100 Liters, so whether GT5 uses the actual tank sizes for its cars doesn't matter in this case.

Wrong, GT5 actually simulate that, not very good but it does. Try it you'll see.

And it doesnt stay down, it stiffer suspension, lower the car and at a certain speed, the spoiler goes down for maximum aerodynamics efficiency.

top speed mode for velocities beyond 375 km/h, which is activated before the engine is started. At top speed mode the front diffuser flaps are shut to make the underbody absolutely level, and the spoiler is completely aligned with the chassis, forming a tearing edge – thus, the Veyron is perfectly adapted for top velocities

Where is option for this mode?
