Firstly I think the Mclaren is still king!! or at least second best behind the Dauer 962 road car ( 0-60 2.8 251mph ) ne wayThe Bugatti is fster on the straights and acceleration..but what's it gonna turn like..Lets see It sounds to me like an Escudo...near 1000 hp 4 wd but...It weighs twice as much!!!!!! It's gonna turn like a brick!!! The Mclaren turns and has speed.. The Bugatti is gonna be a drag racer...all I'm saying is that the Mclaren is still the best road car ever made...right behind the Dauer 962:D

dauer 962 is awsome i wonder ig it will be in gt4 as it is not strictly a porsche

i think the konessigg cc is the car right below the mclaren... And right below it is the TVR speed twelve, Underwhich the dauer 962 mnight appear...

Where does the Dauer/Bugatti EB100 SS fit into the scheme of things, do you think?

Barring any problems, the Bugatti Veyron will have a higher top speed than the McLaren F1, that is certain. Unlike cars like the Koenigsegg, the Bugatti has funding and engineering assistance from a major manufacturer and that makes all the difference.

The McLaren will likely still be a better sports car and certainly much more of a driver's car than the Bugatti. It wieghs more than 500 lbs less, and really was designed to be a really rewarding driver's car that just happens to be really, really, REALLY fast. It's a single-minded car built to be the ultimate performance car.

I have no doubt that the Bugatti's straight-line performance, what with its nearly 1000 hp and AWD, but is much more of an ultra-high performance GT car, much like the Mercedes-McLaren SLR but on a higher plane.

Rumor has it McLaren, when the SLR is completed, is going to launch a line of ultra-high performance cars to compete with Ferrari, with an "entry level" car along the lines of the Modena, a GT car (which will likely replace the limited-time-only SLR), and an Enzo-fighter which should finally eclipse the F1.

The McLaren report has been substantiated by one of the major automotive magazines this month - I think it was Automobile but it could have been one of the others - I get Road & Track, Car and Driver, Motor Trend, Automobile, and Autoweek, and read Sport Compact Car, Car, and Evo on a regular basis as well, so I get easily confused on my sources. :O
