No you said SUV's are meant for around town grocery getters and soccer mom mobiles. I was just merely adding on another SUV for your good track SUV list. I'm not trying to start an arguement because I didn't retort any of your information, I added to it.

Oh now I understand. I didnt say anything about the SUVs being for soccer moms and for carrying groceries.

So you were talking about the VUE, which is the coolest SUV I've been in in a long time. They are all the same.

Drop the kids off at soccer practice? Drive it to high school? If not, your not the market they're trying to sell it to.

SUVs which are good around a track:

BMW X5
Porsche Cayenne

Looks like you were talking about the VUE.

I can't post the pics for some reason!!!

Forgot about those. But those 2 are a drop in the pond compared to the rest of the Sport Utes. The fact still stands though that the majority of people don't buy SUV's to go autocross/roadracing. They buy them for shopping, kid transporting, and a few people actually use them to tow stuff. Even though the BMW X5 and the
Porsche Cayenne handle fairly well on a track, most prospective buyers aren't worried about lap times when they buy one.

Haha then you got me who bought one to lower it, but thats another story.

Ah...double R is a MT/C&D type...that likes performance nearly only.
I'm afraid of performance guys...these are the ones that try and run me off the road when I'm just trying to get to work or something...

I get tired of sedans, but they're the absolute cheapest to insure. the way american insurance works, anymore appears to be; if it has less than 4 doors or more than 4 cylinders, or vice versa, it's considered a "sports car":P

Here's one I bet Motor Trend didn't teach you, Sniffs: the Volkswagen Golf and Porsche Cayenne share an engine. Unfortunately, it's true.

The 3.2 V6 from the R32?

I'm assuming that it isn't the 1.9D

Edit: Missed the top of this page...

The only SUVs i see in the UK is the x5,x3 cayenne and tourage and range rover.
The X5 is everywhere.

There's a load of M-Classes and Kia Sorentos up north.

Ugh, worst opinion ever...

Most of the Buicks in their fleet have the same Supercharged V6 as the Pontiac Grand Prix. So if you think they're having trouble reaching speed limits, you're on something. And considering most of them share most of the suspension work from the Grand Prix and Bonneville, then you'd know that they handle nearly as well. And no, their brakes and steering are not faulty either.

I've worked at a Buick dealership and I drove these vehicles on a daily basis. There's nothing wrong with the cars themselves, especially for the group they cater to.

Saturn is no longer unique, however due to that they're also the least likely to be killed off by GM. GM has poured a lot of money into Saturn and is trying to turn them into an upscale brand, in fact almost on par with Buick.

I can get my park avenue 100+ no problem. Buicks are good if they are newer than 1995, before that the quality fades slightly. It doesn't handle that great, but it has lots of wear being about 11 years old.

haven't seen any live yet...beamers are few and far between even in Doctor Country up here (we have one of the only heart centres and cancer centers for up to 100 miles). i've seen ONE five series, several XJ's (mostly older) and one doc showed up in an Escallade. I also know where there's a cream colored 190D available for sale around here.

the closest I've come to a LR is seeing pics of my first mate's beat up old series one

Correct indeed - turns a Golf into a street rod and a Cayenne into a Corolla.
