Wow, now that's what you call a miracle.

I guess no Army men are going to be buying the Nano one heh? :p

All Mac users go to hell, but ipod users survive gunfire :p

I didn't know they had iPods in the army, I thought it was all "Tuck in that lower lip, you could get that caught on a tripwire...

[/Forrest Gump]

From,
Chris.

And that's why you don't buy the slimmest MP3 player on the market.

Incidentally, that's the first HP iPod I've seen.

Yes and no I believe. I'm trying to do more research on this article today but I can't find it any where else but at Digg.com.

And I guess if I was in the army, I'd need like 10 nano's or a 80GB iPod to help me survive that, but not every one could.

My guess is the bulletproof vest did 97% of the work, the uniform 2% and the iPod 1%. My pellet rifles can pierce all the way through an iPod.

Here is a picture of what the iPod looks like now.

I just tried.
You need an account on discovery.com and i cant make one now.
If you have or can make one would you mind suggesting this.
I would really like to see this tested.

I am pretty sure that the bullet ricocheted and lost enough energy to slow down in a 2 inch thick plastic and sheet metal Ipod.
There is absolutely NO WAY that a little Ipod can stop a 124 grain 7,62x39 mm FMJ bullet moving 2100 feet per second and creating over 1200 ft/lbs of energy, that bullets can penetrate 1 inch soft steel plates. Even Handgun rounds dont stop in a Ipod. :ouch:

There were also soldiers of WWII saying that their 1 inch thick field bible stopped full power rifle bullets. Nuts. :scared:
