Burnout World 3.1 - Now Open

My Burnout World hasn't been successful with me doing it. I've decided to see what suggestions you guys could give me. Yes, we've moved from proboards to Invision Free. Some of the things I need are: A skin design suggestion, a forum design (what's forums should be put in, besides the news, suggestions, and the burnout section), and should we have more than 10 forums? This site is about the Burnout Game series, not real burnout's.
 
Like I said in your last thread:
  • Have as few forums as possible. There won’t be enough people visiting to warrant a forum for every Burnout game, so just have a general Burnout thread.
  • Try these forums:
    • News
    • Suggestions
    • General Burnout Forum
    • Off-topic
  • Avoid the temptation to make heaps of specialized forums, as more people join you may be able to expand a little, but the key is to keep it simple.
 
As far as skin design goes, i'd go for somethng with colours that reflect the game. I don't know why, but i think something like black, red and orange would be good. What software are you using? If you're still using the IPB 1.3 @ invisionfree.com, i could easilly whip up a skin for you :) I was mid-way through a design for 1.3 when we moved to vBulletin. If you want to have a go yourself, i'll give you some pointers as to how to do it. You don't have to hand code it all yourself - there's quite a few site based editors that will help you do it. All you need is one of those, some html colour resources (e.g #fffff is white) and the links to some images you want incorporated. Just give me a shout :)
 
Great news, guys! I've gotten all forums up and the main site is almost ready. Expect a release any time soon!

I'd change the gharish background image. Somehow, the repeatition of fireballs looks nasty. Oh, and surely a link to emailing you on the forums would be better than instructions on how to get there? Otherwise, i like it :)
 
Eh. Were moving from Freewebs (The worst hosting site ever.). I'll see what I can do for a main site. The forums we got. Consider us closed for matinence, for now.
 
you should consider getting a domain name, it makes all the difference. Try this site uk2.net

burnoutworld.co.uk is still available.
 
He's Texas based. I'd personally go for burnoutworld.net, but it's your call. I'd go for it from yahoo at only $2.99 a year.

Did you see my reply in your thread on my forum? Like i said, i'd be happy to help you design it.
 
I don't have any money on me. I just spent about 250 on a new Sauber C9 Model. Jon., I'll send you a PM with some ideas.
