Looks like part of the engine just blew on that side of the car and burnt up the side and blew a hole through the hood.
 
Yeah looks like the engine got too hot and melted the rear window, judging by the blackness i'd say caught on fire too. Tragic thing to happen to a car like that but i,m pretty sure that it'll be repaired soon enough.

(based on assumption) Atleast it ocurred due to being used proprerly and the cars owner is not just a poser who cruises around at 30 mph
 
Well, yhe good thing is that this Ferrari at least has the chance of recovery, unlike 3 F40s that were destroyed by the fire at that Ferrari Dealership. :guilty:
 
The engine caught fire while it was being tracked at Bedoford in the UK.

Apparently, some Euro F40s do not have one-way valves on the fuel filler, so under high-load cornering it can sneak up the neck, come through the joints and catch fire. The driver was unhurt, the interior will need replacing along with several body pieces and fuel tank. The engine was undamaged.

The tanks are being replaced by those with valves... :)
