buying dlc in countries without psn store availability

Bought my ps3 earlier this year, and made the mistake of creating an account using my local information (Chile) and not a US address, which means I can't use the psn store and I don't have total access when using that account.

Thing is, my gt5 saved data (lvl36 and lvl40) is stored on that account, and I can't move it to the other one.

Is there any way I could buy dlc for that account, change the address of that account or any other solution without any downsides (such as not being able to play spa)?

Actually just checked psn store on wikipedia and it says there are only 44 countries in which it is fully supported. That might be a big deal for this particular game, since it is way more popular overseas than in the US.

I'm from Chile. Just create a new account and select US as the country. You can buy the DLC in that account and you should be able to use it with your chilean account (Unless your game is PAL) If it is PAL make an european account.

Saludos.

just to be a 100% sure: If I buy dlc in my US account, will I be able to use it on my Chilean account anyways?

As long as your game disc is a US NTSC disk.

What country your PSN store account makes no difference. It only matters for downloading the DLC. Once the DLC is downloaded it will show up on every account you insert the corresponing game disc too no matter what the country it is.

so just to make sure, i can buy the dlc from asia psn and it will work on my region 2 gt5 disc?

No not correct, I believe region 2 is PAL? So you have to buy them from a European countries PSN store. The DLC must be initially downloaded from the PSN store of the country the disc came from.

Yo tengo una segunda cuenta en USA para poder bajarme las demos y comprar juegos, y todo lo que he bajado o comprado en esa cuenta se puede acceder desde de la mia "comun" que es de Argentina.

I'm sorry to point this out to you, but you're in direct violation to GTP's "Acceptable Use Policy", which clearly stipulates that all messages on the forums are to be posted in english, as well as any messages that you type on GTP's chatroom.

I'm no moderator or anything, just don't want to see you or anyone getting into trouble because of not following the AUP.

Don't be sorry. I was really just trying to help you out. xD

Ok, back to topic.

avens: look at your GT5 disc case, on the side. If the code reads "BCUS98114", it is the american version, which will mean you need an american PSN account. If it's a different code, then you gotta ask for help here, as I'm unfamiliar with non-NTSC codes.
