Use the weider HSV, it has a digital fuel gauge in interior view accurate to 0.1 of a litre. Just fill it one litre below the recommended amount, and if you're still over just reverse back and forth until you get there.

P.s the fuel gauge works backwards, so it tells you how much space is in the tank. I.e full tank shows 0, and empty is 99.9

Ran the f1 gtr on silverstone about 7 laps in the lead then quit while i was in first and out of gas. Not sure if this method works anymore as it may be patched.

I ran the 20 miles of Willow Springs.

Often the race is close on fuel with certain cars. The pay out is good, And the ideal of racing is that you run out of fuel just as the cross the line. Wasted performance lugging about fuel you don't use.

I used a F430 Scud - And I pitted for a bit more juice mid race. ... YMMV.
Your mileage may vary

During 24 Minutes of Le Mans, I ran out of gas as the beginning of Mulsanne and ragequit, and they gave me the trophy.

I did it by winning an endurance race by +1 lap and on the last lap I just did donuts until I ran out of fuel then I crossed the finish line.

just got mine on accident... ran the entire 24min Nurb race without stops on an Audi R10 Stealth... ran out of fuel on the last turn... glad I was ahead, cause it would've sucked to lose power on literally the last turn if you're still battling for it in the end... the second car was the Viper and I believe he either ran out of fuel or went into super coast mode to preserve fuel to finish the race the last 30 seconds or something... the GT-R35 Touring flew past him from way way behind in the last few turns... was a funny replay...

Although I'm very rev-happy so I think most people will actually have enough fuel to finish the race... I literally ran out maybe with 200-300 meters left...

I run out of fuel before last corner during Apricot Hill race, finished 1st and I didn't get the trophy  What the hell, is it bugged or something??? :scared:

Race a FORD GT '06 @595PP in the Willow Springs 20-Mile Challenge. Pit on lap 6. SS tires. NO change to fuel during pit. If you seem to have an abundance of fuel on the last lap, lay into the gas. @Draco022 Try this. The challenge doesn't take long and I got this on the first attempt.

If this works online, an 8 lap NASCAR race with depletion on very fast should do it.
It does work online, group of 6 of us did a NASCAR race & on the last lap we all ran out of fuel on Daytona! When we crossed the line slowly at a walking pace almost, it pinged, even a mate who was spectating got it?? :)

Can someone help me? When I didn't get trophie in Apricot Hill race I raced once again Suzuka. When I was 1st and light on fuel gauge was red I restarted the race - nothing happen. Than I finished 1st Brand Hatch race with red light fuel gauge and again, didn't get the trophie. I am so angry right now, seems it is bug, and I wont be able to get the platinium trophie...:banghead:

I got it just a few days ago on the 15 lap brands hatch race. I was driving a maxed out 650pp R35 Touring Car

Yesterday i won this trophy simply by watching a NASCAR race in multiplayer. I was watching the race by that screen that you can see the lap times (sorry, i forgot the name). I did not even know that was possible. When the winner crossed the finish line almost out of gas and the trophy came i was a little bit surprised. I know this does not help you much, but i believe that not everyone knows that. I hope you get this trophy soon!

Thanks, I will try this trick with my friend when he get his copy of GT6 very soon.

I got this trophy today using the Motul GT-R in the 15 laps of Brands hatch, S class race. Start with racing soft tyres, pit on the ninth or tenth lap to racing intermediate tyres and you should be cutting it close with your fuel at the finish.

"Reach the finish line and win with one percent or less of your fuel remaining"

Any tips on what race would be the easiest to do this on in the S class mini enduros? Been trying to find the right cars to give them a try, but have been failing miserably lol. Any help guys, would be greatly appreciated.
...heh. I actually got this trophy accidentally. ;)

It was one of the S class races, on Suzuka. (At least, I believe it was S class. Anyhow...) The rest of the field were JGTC cars; I was out in my Audi R18.

I was WELL ahead of the competition, going into the latter laps. I was at least a minute+ ahead of the next car... which wound up being necessary. The last time I had pit, I dialed down refueling too far, and actually ran out of gas *during* my last lap! Wound up coasting across the finish line at 49 mph, but still a minute+ ahead.

:D

This is an old thread, I know, but I can't seem to get this trophy. Only 1000 miles left to autobarmy and this one left. IB coffee break, ran out of fuel, got the gold medal, no trophy. Willow springs twice, basically no fuel left, maybe 5 seconds of having the pedal down at most, still no trophy. Same thing with apricot hill. I am getting quite agitated because it seems this is glitched. Especially on one of the races, I felt I was going to run out of fuel for sure, I'm positive I had less than 1% remaining. Anyone else with this problem? Any advice?

Coffee Breaks won't do it, it has to be one of the endurance races.

Your fuel gauge turns red when there's only a couple of litres left (though I can't remember how much - I think it's 2) and when you actually run out your car is limited to 50mph/80km/h. What you need to do is get a big old fuel guzzling car and when you stop for fuel halfway, put in two litres less than the pit stop box suggests. You should be in the red before halfway round the last lap and hit the 50mph limiter a corner or so from home. If you don't, do some showboating for the crowd - donuts or whatever - anything to add distance.

I got it with the R35 Touring Car at Silverstone.

Mine was in the red for about half of the last lap at willow springs, and in the red for all three races. At willow springs I would not be surprised if I actually ran out of fuel as I crossed the finish line. I literally could not see any fuel remaining on my gauge. I had to keep my foot down because I only won by about 1 second. Maybe I have to pass the 1st place guy before the last lap for some reason?

You can get this trophy by using the Chaparral 2J on 24 Minutes of Le Mans. Even with rain, it is very stable with RH tires and it consumes a little of tyres. Do the first pit at 3rd lap. Start gain vantage until you pit at 6th lap. In the 2nd pit (6th lap), put RS tyres and just 10 gallons of fuel to win the race with nearly empty tank. Try this out and after this, tell me if it worked. Hope it helps!

Good luck! 👍

I did it in my first try on Ascari 10 laps. I used an Enzo Ferrari, RH tyres and stopped right after lap 5. When you see the fuel amount you want to replenish, just make it 2 litres smaller, I ran out of fuel at the last turn but I was like 40 seconds ahead of the second (McLaren F1 I think).

If you run out of fuel, you still go but only at 80km/h.

I messed up a pit stop during the 24 minutes of Le Mans, and ran out of fuel at the beginning of Mulsanne, so I quit the race.

Somehow that gave me the trophy.

What? It gave you that trophy? Did you finish the race?

Did it in the Ascari 10-lap race in my trusty LCC Rocket. Never pitted in the entire race. :sly:

Ok, I finally did it. I ran out of fuel on the last straight with my Tommy Kaira ZZII. I'm wondering if they patched this trophy. A lot of people said you just have to be in the red of your fuel gauge. But, just being in the red wouldn't mean you have 1% or less of your fuel remaining. Realistically, I would say that would put you in the vicinity of 5-10% fuel remaining. I finished 2 races while in the red, one of them being over halfway through the red part of the fuel gauge. As I stated earlier, I thought I was about to run out of gas when I crossed the line.
Anyhow, the patching thing is just a theory. I'm just happy I got this trophy after quite a few hours trying. Less than 1,000 miles left for autobarmy and platinum!
