Plux, I built a spreadsheet for this and I think you'll find the corrected table looks like this:-

Points after 2 races, using f1 system:
1) Micantony = 40pts
2) Gadget334 = 26pts
3) Pluxtheduck* = 25pts
4) iwasere = 20pts
5) Cobani* = 18pts
6) Davidbrooks* = 15pts
7) WIDFO = 14pts
7) ANFD* = 14pts
9) Knukken* = 12pts
10) MrPainCake* = 4pts
11) MichoRexo** = 1pts
12) Heathenpride** = 0pts
12) JohnScoonsbeard** = 0pts
12) TDZdave** = 0pts

If HP agrees with this, lets adopt F1 moving forwards

Agreed.

Just an FYI ..... I will miss the next race as we will be traveling for the next 4 to 5 weeks :)

Updated points table - Also, what's happening with the Celica's guys?

Johan can have the Celica, At this point I believe I can only make Le Mans, If your happy to permit me to use it only then I'm cool with that,

Hi guys

Much as I'd like to I'm just not getting the blocks of time to do these races what with sleep patterns of our new baby. I can get 1-2 hours if I'm lucky. Looks like you're having fun though.

Enjoy Spa

Cheers

Thanks for solving the Celicagate issue :D

going to miss you JSB; always a pleasure to rub paint with you.

I think we had one too many participants in the Celica. Who is Johan?

But with JSB out of it, that means there are three again in the Celica I think.

You'll have to go back and read some of Dave's posts, he was referring to the issue/confusion. i don't really know the details.

Celicagate, Crashgate, Watergate, all famous scandals, johan is WIDFO,

So is this mess sorted?

Yep.

*Impeaches JSB for Celica related shenanigans and bangs gavel*

Thanks for the clarification. I can now stop trying to set up two cars and focus all my attention on destroying the handling of the Celica:tup:

I'm planning on attending this week, If my time skills are correct and there is a race this week,

i think it's next week. we pushed it back 2 weeks.

The Links in the original post appear to be updated! you go HP!

;-)

I'm opening up my lounge for a practice session in about 20 min, if anyone is keen drop in in.

I'm keen to get input regarding laps amount, I'm thinking 80 might do it, perhaps 85.

Anyone with sharper mathletics than me this is your cue to chime in :dunce:

A quick question for you guys, mr paincake was going to withdraw from future races as he found the arta a bit of a nightmare, would anyone object to him using a subaru as this was his first choice car for this event.

Unless I'm way off your pace, I'm coming in closer to 72 laps for 3 hours.

I'm running around 2 1/2 minute laps, so 2.5 x 72 laps = 180 minutes

what kind of lap times are YOU doing?:nervous:

make it 80 for if we get rain?

I wouldn't mind a brief summary of Steward's rules on what is expected at Spa so it's clear for everyone.
Particularly for Eau Rouge and Pouhon.

I anticipate we are expected to stay within all curbing as the track boundary?

I think you went the wrong way with that estimate buddy. If Mics 72 lap estimate is in the dry, then if the race is declared wet it needs to be even shorter, like 65 laps or even 60.

oh yeah hahaaha

also with the Eau Rouge and Pouhon corners, why dont we do same rule as bus stop? half car or 2 wheels on atleast through there? (2 wheels behind the actual ripple strips,

also what are the rules regarding lapping? or over taking, because i figure we'll all be going mostly the same speed so what happens?

and with lapping do the people further in front when they come up to lap have to respect our lines and battles with others and not interfere if possible?

My personal view is that if you are about to be lapped it is not for position so why contest it? Having said that, trying to give way by getting off the racing line can cause ambiguity and can end up causing just as many accidents. I am inclined to stay on the line but perhaps don't go quite full throttle out of the corner so the guy lapping can cleanly pass on the straight. Again, it just my personal philosphy. :)

I have no experience getting lapped so i can't help you there;)

But, i can say, if i'm coming up on lapped traffic, i just prefer them to make their intentions obvious and early enough so i can react and pass cleanly. Usually if you're being lapped, you are typically slower than the guy coming up behind you right?
I respect the lapped cars though, but if they are way off pace, it does get difficult if i'm in a heated battle.

There are courteous ways to allow people to pass you (for example, coming out of a corner, get off line and get on the throttle a little later than normal and the following car should go right past without it causing you to lose much time; or vice versa, get off line and brake a little earlier than normal going INTO a corner). As David said though, you don't necessily have to get off line as sometimes the overtaking car is planning to go to that space as well! You just have to understand where you are on track and what line people are taking. If speeds are similar, you don't have to let them by easily, just run your race. It's more interesting that way. Just don't hold people up for too long if it's obvious they are much faster than you.

Spa is a very wide track though, so it shouldn't be a major issue like it is at other tracks. Just don't get all nervous and end up crashing by trying to go too fast for what you and your car can handle just because you see someone coming up behind you. Plan ahead, that's part of racing.
