I'll am busy until Tues so if anyone else can help you beforehand then I'd appreciate it

Thanks Gadget and correct re weight penalties.

This is the first of many GT300 (or 500) series that I will run and much will be taken from it.

The next series will also be GT300 and with performance vs car selection from this series carefully looked at it will not be a case of one car ruling the track... Don't rule out a one make series either, I think that would be a heap of fun and will boil down to skill and concentration.

It's a good idea that has been used in other championships in GT5 and in the real world ( BTCC for example) but its really something that needs to be defined BEFORE the championship starts, not half way through. Might have been a different story for me if the rain had started earlier

thats why i quit, those ARTA's and everyone else was just too fast, was a min down after 13 laps, even with rain i cant make that back

I thought I'd give you guys a heads up, I've pulled out of everything except this series as I've damaged my left wrist from over driving... It seems I'm fragile...

I will continue in this series as the cars in this series are the easiest to drive

The Blu ray laser on my PS3 failed yesterday, so I can't play GT5 right now, or even review the replay of last weekends race :grumpy:

However, from what I already know I believe this is an updated Championship Table after the 3rd Round. Let me know if anyone spots an error.

Hey HP

For the next round at La Sarthe, the intention was to have weather changeability right? I presume this because you posted weather link and confirmed that last 3 races would be weather change in a previous post.

Well, just taken a first look at it and the only La Sarthe track config that offer Weather option is 'Circuit de la Sarthe 2009' which DOES have chicanes.

Please correct on your OP so everyone is clear on which track to practice on.

Also, due to me having to replace my PS3 today, I've lost the replay of the last round, so I can't forward to you OR write a race report :ouch:

I believe the Nurb Type V track also has no weather change as well.

The replay file exceeding a certain size is not exportable to usb drives. If anyone manage to export it and share, I don't mind helping with the race report.

Bob if you could help out with a race report that would be great. Shame u can't export though, was looking forward to re living our battle...... :)

Just for the record I did not manage to retain a replay file due to my disconnection. Got booted straight back to the game menu. I'd like to have a second look at our close encounters as well.

Hi all.

Hmmmm, those tracks not having weather is a pity. Nurb track to change to 24hr track with weather but as Sarthe is the next race I will leave it to a vote on whether to change it.

Preferences? I'm ok with a change.

Yes please change, especially as I picked a 4WD car on the baisis that at least half the races 'could' be wet. For Spa the rain was too little and too late to seriously affect the result, so I'm hoping for more at Spa and Nurb, although now the series is running a coupole of months late, the summer weather could mean it's dry anyway :(

Or I might do a rain dance hahaha

Not sure I want rain at nurb after the 17 hours we got at the 24hr though :ouch:

Its better in the draft, but on my own I'm only gaining 1-2mph... I will keep the top end settings and adjust the first 3 gears to regain my acceleration.

Thank you for the help

So what about number of laps for the La Sarth Race. In the dry 4:20's should be possible, but allowing for stops and mistakes, I think we should calculate on AVERAGE lap time being 4:25. Race is supposed to be 3.5 hrs, or 210 minutes.

I suggest if it's a 'dry' race, we set lap distance at 48 laps to allow for time lost with pit stops and slower laps after tyre degradation. If the weather dice rolls as 'wet', I say reign it in to 40 laps...no pun intended :)

Anyone agree/disagree with that? This is already a very late finish in Europe so keen not to overrun the 3.5 hours time limit.

** EDITED DUE TO ORIGINAL DATA BEING BASED ON THE 'NO CHICANES' LAYOUT ***

i am interested in joinning

Hi. Send a PM to Heathenpride. He is running this, and you need to pick a car that's available as there is a limit of no more than 3 of any make/model per race. Check the list of entries on original post. I think there might be a Lexsus or a Celica available......?
