C.R.A.P Photomode thread

💡 I'm starting a thread to allow all current and future C.R.A.P members to have a place to show there photomode shots from the endurance races that get run, and also any cool shots you take that you want to share.

It's not limited to just in game shots, if you have a cool car or setup for sim racing that would be fine too.

I'll start it off with some shots from the 50 lap race at Oaklands Park, the Eifel creator track by HeathenPride, which provided a perfect setting for the first C.R.A.P endurance race.
We only had 6 racers (5 by the end due to bad connection for ken4228 :( shame you had to drop out mate :() but it was a great race overall. JohnnyPenso took the win in the Bentley speed 8 👍 great win Johnny :)

Good idea Ben - going to have to start saving more of those races myself.

Thanks Ben, looking forward in turn to seeing more of yours and any others that folks feel like adding.

Like I said earlier on the other thread, it's tricky to capture good shots on creator tracks due to the minimalist scenery - keep 'em coming

Cool, even more great shots suddenly - love the 787 ones. I can finally see Heathen's car from the front as opposed to only the tail lights!

Sweet shot of the VW camper too.

EDIT: Time to add a few more...

I realised only now that I'd need a capture card or something similar to take photos from any of the online events I've been in...so until then, I'm afraid it's just going to be interesting shots from the game for me.

Heathen and I aren't in this actual shot (due to the lack of capture card) but we did recreate it after I told him about this.

No, it just chucks me back into the lobby...

love that one of the Focus with the sun in the clouds. Just can't get over how realistic it looks.

I can save online replays? That's how I got the shots from the endurance race. If you have a capture card you can record live races or basically everything you see on screen. Elgato make a decent AV capture card for about $180 AUD. If you wand HDMI then your looking a quite alot more.
 
Cheers for the kind words and tech tips also Ben - that WRC Focus used to be my profile pic and it's had a few comments before now.

Yeah, I was afraid I'd need a capture card as I just went back into the game to try various lobbies out and could find no online save options anywhere - I though I'd just forgotten to set something up.

Looks like I know what I'll be getting for Christams 👍
 
Just so i'm clear, when you go to view the race results, and attempt to save the replay from that screen, it boots you?
 
Ahhh, now I see where I'm not doing what I should be. I've never gone in there and viewed the results (the podium block icon?) I think I did once but nothing happened.

EDIT: It WORKS! That's me $180 better off :) Thanks for that tip, really appreciate it, managed to save a replay from some random online race with Caterhams - I even caught the ghosting too. I should be more patient in future...

Sweet as dude :) glad you worked it out. I think I will still aim to get a capture card one day though as it can be used to capture anything with an AV output.

One day me too, I definitely enjoy the photo mode and PS3 screenshot facility which I've only been able to use for Dirt 2 & 3 so far, but will be able to use it for WRC 2 also.

Looks like a shot I got of my X2010 on La Sarthe. One you get to speed on the grass it only takes a small bump in the grass to kick the front in the air and the tail seems to follow. I'll upload it when I get home, looks like its flying straight into the sun :lol:

I can't wait to get that jump track that I am waiting on... when i do we will all visit it and get pics in the hundreds!!

I just made a flickr today just for the photos then ya upload the photos click share and copy paste the link, there's a thread out their on how to do it

Who knew this was going on behind me! HAHAHAHA! So cool seeing myself in a pic on the website, I also checked out your flicker page and saw a few more. Anyone have any pics of the 20 lap Seca race?
 
Very nice photos SG - loved the use of the minaturisation effect, worked well here - shame I missed that one.

Some beauties there Heathen, those cars weren't on the pitch, surely?
