I looked through, done a quick search and couldn't believe that nobody had started a thread for this series.

C.S.I. Crime Scene Investigation
C.S.I. Miami
C.S.I. New York

I've seen Lost, Prison Break, and various others,
I'm not interested in Star Trek or the Simpsons.
The soap operas are too boring.
I don't actually watch tv at all.

Well, I didn't untill I saw CSI at a friends house.
Man this series is great. At least, I think it is.
It deserves a thread of its own.
A bunch of people doing jobs that people like me only dream of doing.
And whats more they're working with some top class hot babes!
They get a badge, they get a gun, and they get to lock up a$$holes.

Am I the only one in this forum or are there more of us out there?

Favorite Version = CSI Crime Scene Investigation
Favorite Male Character = Horatio - CSI Miami
Favorite Female Character = Catherine Willows - CSI
Favorite Episode = Grave Danger - CSI

CSI Official Website

Is grave danger the one where Warwick ends up burried alive? If so, that's easily my favourite too.

But yeah, I watch this most of the time it's on. Didn't used to watch it all that much, but then FiveUS came along and stuck it on practically all evening. Seeing as I'm in the UK I don't really get many new episodes, but hey.

I'm not a big fan of any of them except Miami. I can't wait for next season! I'll end most likely, buying any seasons on DVD to hold me over.

Yes and no. It was Nick Stokes, and yes he was buried alive.

I thought this episode was intense. I'm British too so FiveUS is the most popular channel in my house at the moment.

I don't really like CSI. The characters and the storylines are not as good as the various Law&Order versions, and I find the overdone "forensicscam" thing annoying.

Basically, it's like Scooby Doo. Well, all cop dramas are in some way. But CSI really gets into that general formula of: Somethings wrong >Bring in "mystery" team to investigate > Find clues > Show reenactment of crime. Obviously, the stuff on CSI is much more serious then scooby doo, but it's the same exact thing. :D

I get a kick out of it sometimes, but I do like law and order better simply because it shows the "order" side where things can fall apart on technicalities.

Fair enough, everyones got different likes and dislikes.
I've seen Law & Order, I've seen Shark too.
They're both good but for some reason I'm just more into CSI.
I find it a good thing switching between CSI, Miami and New York,
it seems to but a bit of a break into the storylines if you can watch all three.

Two similarly based, but different shows.
Both of which are great!

I once loved this show. It had all the crime drama I was looking for, plus it was in HD! Not many shows were in HD when I had my first HD set.

Now, it's pretty silly. It stated off a bit silly; as a direct result to the tragic outcome of the OJ Simpson trial. Our government felt nobody knew what DNA meant or didn't understand what criminal scientist do. So they asked networks to come up with a show based on that very same thing. And, we got it.

I still watch the Las Vegas and the NY CSI. The Florida CSI is horrible. The characters are also horrible.

NBC did a recent news story about what an actual criminal autopsy is like. You can tell they were taking shots at CSI about tools, methods and such.

I really don't like it as much as I once did, but I still watch it.

There's something more personable about Law and Order(original) then CSI. It's kind of like CSI is almost an elitist kind of thing. What I mean is that it shows a side of Vegas that 90% of America wouldn't believe IS Vegas. Where as we all know New York has it's good parts and bad parts.

Here in the UK we get extras on FiveUS, showing some behind the scenes stuff and interviews. The way the series has been made with the corpses is great, and the use of digital imagery is used perfectly.

Really? I could never stand CSI: NY. Too many random cuts and swoopy camera angles hiding what is essentially in my view a watered down version of CSI without having the action CSI: Miami has to make up for the same thing.
And the only real problem I ever had with Miami was that it uses the age old stereotype that everyone from Miami who is under 80 acts like it is 1985 still.

Yeah I know.
I will admit watching Miami with 'H' and his shades, does sometimes make me think of Don Johnson & co in thier loud shirts. Stereotyping doesn't always work, and I'm glad they don't take it too far. Although they do occassionaly come very close to stepping over the line.

I like the original CSI - Grisham just rules. I find it refreshingly light-hearted and quirky, especially given the subject matter.

CSI New York isn't too bad, the Mrs really enjoys it, but i find that whole New York cop show over done now.

I hate CSI Miami, David Caruso is the most unlikely sex symbol, hero-cop ever! Toronado's spot-on when he said the whole Miami Vice/1985 thing is so outdated.

David Caruso = Miami Vice

?????

Yep! 👍

Perfect match!

I love CSI!!! I now watch Channel 5 constantly and would love to get Five US..... My Favorites are CSI Miami and and Las Vegas, the New York one I'm not too crazy about.

Its really light stuff CSI, its not like Prison Break where its really deep its just nice to watch and have a conclusion at the end of every episode. Seeing the city's sceneries its the best bit.

Im glad there are always repeats of it on because I only started watching recently...

I started watching Prison Break but not long ago it seemed to have lost it's realism. I mean how long can a couple of guys run with the cops only two steps behind them.

As for CSI repeats there are several episodes I've seen more than once and I'd watch them again. :D

There's just something about the series that's got me hooked.

Ahh yes, I forgot... It's on now, btw. It's the Miami one with the girl shot at the poolside without anyone realising.

I don't know why I like it. But then again, I like just about all American TV that's shown over here. If I don't like it I've never watched it properlly.
