Hi Guys, i did a search a week or so ago and printed everything i could find about the C5R Handling issue.....
I set it up the Following way
Spring Rate F: 12.4 / R: 13.8
Ride : 61/65
Bound 6/7
Rebound 6/7
Camber 2.0/0.0
Toe 0.0/0.0
Stabilisers : 5/6
Brake Bal. : 16/18
LSD Initial: (Rear) 8
LSD Accel : (Rear) 40
LSD Decel : (Rear) 26
DF : 0.50 0.74

This is an exact copy of someone else's setup, and it handles nice, but coming out of turns it likes to "Light-em-up" and spin a LOT, but oddly enough mostly out of Right-handers... it seems to turn left alright.....

So is this a good setup for a C5R ? - Is there Better ?
I use D-Pad, and i'm Not a Drifter.........

Cheers all
J

What is your TCS setting at? Try a bit more on the Traction Control and ease off the gas a bit when exiting a turn. I have no explanation as to why there would be a difference between a right or left turn, that should have nothing to do with the cars set up as they should be equal from side to side. It probably has more to do with the track that you are running.

Some setting changes that you might want to adjust are more rear downforce. Lower the stabalizer settings to 4/5, and add about 1.5 degrees of rear camber. You could also try to use a negative rear toe as that will help stabalize the vehicle coming out of a turn.

Actually, in a longitudinal engine layout, torque tends to rotate the chassis of the car toward the left because the engine is spinning to the right. This loads the left-side suspension more heavily than the right when accelerating. Coupled with the weight transfer from a righ-hand turn, it will tend to unload the right rear tire even further, allowing spin to happen more easily.

Your rear spring-rate is to high, on a frt engine/rear drive car you want stiffer srings in front because of the weight of the engine. Increase the camber in frt to 3.0 rear to 1.3. Your stabilizers at 5 for both. Bound & rebound both at 6. It's an easy car to set-up, but it's about 150-200 kgs too heavy. The only other GTS class car is the Oreca Viper.
