Good work. Don't know if I can get on tonight, or the weekend as I'm heading off to Blackpool in the morning. I'll keep an eye out for you though, I want to play this online.

I reached Commander lv.55 yesterday in a 39 kill TDM with 15 kill streak off the bat. Since I got promoted I seem to play a lot better or maybe it's just my AK-74u w/ Double-Tap combo flattering my skills. I've pretty much decided that I won't be going Prestige, at least until I have completed every challenge in the Barracks.

Probably not, I didn't have much luck with the AK-74u.
 
I beat the main game last night (well, this morning), and wow that is a crazy-awesome ending. I'd say that has to be the most-EPIC ending in a game I've seen in a while...

Now is the time that I start doing online stuff. I don't know how frequently I'll be there, but I'll be around...

I remember that damn ship level though... :grumpy:

Completely contradicting myself, I went Prestige last night. It's thoroughly enjoyable to bang through the levels again. I got promoted 5 times in the first match with a 26K/12D or something like that. The M16 with iron sights is the best gun in the game!
 
^ I'd be hard-pressed to say that about the M16 ( :p), but yeah, going into Prestige makes you go through all the guns again, and might make you discover you like a gun better than you did the first time around. It took me Prestige 4 before I started liking the MP5, then Prestige 5 to start using it silenced. I've been using it ever since as I get so many kills from it. I occasionally use a silenced M4 as well, and started using the RPD rather than the M60 on certain maps.

And you're right - it's fun watching those promotions pop-up again. :sly:

I completed the single campaign last night. The last couple of levels were intense, some good fire fights.

Now I'm going to concentrate on the multiplayer game tonight. Hopefully a few of you be on tonight.

Or just invite me. There is a Party Invite option on the multiplayer menu. You may just have to wait a few minutes before I finish my game.

Dude, WTF? I saw you in Prestige, but on the leaderboards you're now a non-Prestige lvl 55???

I did join a game you were in, but as predicted, the lag was horrid since you're so far away from we. I guess we'll never be playing together properly, then...
 
Yeah, what was up with that eh?!? I was Prestige lv.26 now it's reset me back to the day I reached Commander lv.55. I basically lost 13 hours of stats! It seems as though all my stats remained on the MS server, but were reset in my Xbox HD, because as soon as I noticed I went to the Leaderboards and saw that I was still Prestige with all my K/D in tact. As soon as I played my first game, the Leaderboard was updated and I lost like 500 kills and 13 hours of play, as I mentioned before. I was thoroughly irritated, but now I'm just going to play at lv.55 with my supressed MP5 (thanks for the tip!) and work on my score and K/D ratio.

We must have been unlucky with the lag, as I've never had a problem with lag before even playing people all over the world. We can try again sometime.
 
I played this game for the first time last night and completed it this morning, but I loved every second of it! The ending was very epic, if a little sudden. Does online play have a ranking system so you get matched against people on the same skill level as you? Because I'm really bad at first person shooters!
 
I had a pretty good match tonight, came in second despite my lack of playtime. Leveling up seems easy-ish-ish. Ish.

I definitely agree with Alex and Jeff from The Totally Rad Show: The pacing of online play in COD4 is much better than other shooters out there today...
 
I don't know why but it feels like it's taking like 10x as long to level back up to 55.

^ Those weren't a bad set of games, Jamie. I had one gripe though - your AVF friend CONSTANTLY used the grenade launcher on me, which peeved me off. Half the deaths I had were him... I call it a noob gun since there is no way to escape from it. :p
