Cod-elite-feature.jpg

Recently, I've seen the in-game ad for CoD's Elite beta. After looking it up, I see that it's a paid subscription for some features:
- Stat tracking
- HeatMaps (where you get killed/where you get kills)
- "Alternative social networking" (Messages, class reccomendations, ect.)
- (other features Here)

There has been some controversey Here at Wired.com where they say "activision" is digging into your wallets.

I liken CoD:Elite to Playstation+, where you get added features for a fee.

What's your opinion on this?

Why do people have such trouble comprehending what Elite actually is. Did you even read anything on the links you posted? Stat tracking, leaderboards, the HeatMap function, groups, clans, message boards, video uploading...it's all FREE. It says so right in the link you posted about additional features. They have not discussed any of the fee based content AT ALL yet because the service is built for MW3 and beyond. I swear people see the word paid or fee and get blinders on to everything else.

I saw the protest video before watching this video

It would be awesome if replays it could be directly uploaded to youtube like how Third Strike Online videos is. But I hardly used waypoint and I will wait till MW3 comes out.
