hey, I have been wanting to know how many people on GTP don't use sims to drift. so if you use sport tires or racing slicks, just post here. keep cool. post if you use either sports tires or racing tires ONLY. I mean non-sims on all drive trains, not just a certain type.

What do you mean, I'm not saying im the best at super soft, I'm just saying its very hard to turn, and its still hard for me to turn it sideways sometimes. Plus for my opinion, i think driving with super soft, you need a very good settings to drift all the way from the start to the end. But hey im not trying to like have an argument ok.

actually, I've never ever bought sim-tires...

I mostly drift with a fully modded (over 1000 BHP) Viper gts, Skyline (R34 and R33) or the (570BHP) Mitsubische Evo 7 ; On super softs, these actually drift easily with some good throttle control.

;)

good throttle control to drift a skyline ? heh

hey Night_Drifter, how much HP do you use? try less than 500hp. you are good though. my 240SX HB has about 400hp with super softs all around and it is pretty simple for me to drift it. I like the way it handels.

well, sports or normal for street...

right now I'm racing a trueno with everything and a stage 2 turbo on rally.... so fun, and so beautiful... try it...

i learned on super soft's i feel they let you get grip back right when i need it, but it seems harder to get the car sideways, anyway i never have bought sim tires, never wanted to. do they make you a master or is it just easier? i dont know.

It's legitimate to say they make you a master, but I prefer to use sports tires or even super softs for the high power cars because it's more realistic as far as I can tell. The sims don't sim yo.

I always upgrade my car fully max the best i can, and just use settings, all the cars that i drift, i always use super soft front and back, i dont know, i guess it suits me best you know. Since i start out learning to drift using super soft tires, everything for me seems to be super soft tires, my fast back is fix to be speed drifting, its not that i want to do speed drifting, its just that i cant make it more sideways, it either spun or i dont know, i cant explain it. But im glad to hear that there is some of the people here uses Super soft tires too, thats great.

If the game didn't restrict your steering speed, you could probably whip the rear end hard enough to break traction and power through a turn with normal or even sports tires on a lower power car.

With sims on, it's like the tires are made of wax. Response is so poor and the car slides so easily, there doesn't seem to be and effort involved in drifting anymore..
