My baby, who's just had a new starter motor fitted and an oil change 12+ quarts!
Also has a need for a new set of rear tyres, so I'm just trying to decide what sort to go for.

There's actually a Porsche Fanclub Social group here, where pictures might be more appropriate, but you have to have them within your :gtplanet: albums to post them.

Smallhorses your 911 makes me want an older 911 in that good of shape. I love those older 911's. What year is yours? '85?

You posted almost the exact same thing last time I posted those pics in the "What does you car look like when he/she is washed?" thread!

JCE
Good god that is such a good looking 911. What year? 84? I'd love to own an older vintage 911. :D

Thanks again though, and it was manufactured in January 1981. 👍
You should think about an old 911, but be wary, they're money pits!
I've probably spent close $9000 on getting this one into it's current condition, and that didn't include buying it in the first place! Gotta love her though!

12 quarts of oil? Where the heck does that go?!
Partially in the car seats to make the ride as comfortable as possible.:p

I'll post photos of my 997 GT2 RS, once/if I get one. :sly:

12 quarts of oil? Where the heck does that go?!

It's a 3.0L B6 air/oil cooled engine, that's in the back of the car.
It has an oil cooler at the front of the car, and therefore has to circulate via the pipes that run all the way from the back of the car, under the door-sills and over the front wheel arches to the cooler where it cools down a bit before making it's way back again! Needless to say it has a fairly hefty oil pump!
They're kind of famous for getting laughed out of the Jiffy-Lube $39 oil & filter change deals with a big fat "No 🤬 chance!"

It's the only car I've ever owned where instead of waiting to check the oil level you wait for a cold, unmoving engine, it actually needs to be warmed up for about 15 minutes and running at about 800 - 1000rpm idle speed before you check & top off the oil!!!

Here's mine... a 2000 996 C2, 6 speed manual.

It's standard other than a Porscheteile exhaust with 996 GT3 mk2 tips...

One day I will own a GT3RS... one day!

 Sorry, short memory. :D $9,000 would definitely turn me off however... I'd have to justs spend money on an already low mileage clean example.

finally, a porsche thread!!! :D

I have a 07 911 GT3, ive had it for about a year and a half now... everything is basically stock, except im about to replace the stock rotors and pads for girodisc slotted rotors and endurance pads... i also want to put a cage in it so i can mount some harnesses :D

Lovely, lovely car 👍

You didn't buy it with the Clubsport package?

Hey guys, heres my 08 Carrera 4s, I love this thing to bits. Sadly, I'm selling it, maybe I'll get another Porsche thats much cheaper, such as a boxter or cayman. Anyway, I'm not sure how you post pictures but I'll give it a shot:

Oooh, a Porsche owner in Bradford! So... how many times has it been stolen so far? ;)

haha!

It's never stolen, actually. But my Audi A4 was stolen a month ago. Stupid robbers, "Hmmm theres a 50 grand 911 there, or an Audi A4 worth 6 grand, which shall I take? I know! The Audi!"

In no other city could you find this kind of stupidity.

In Swansea they'd rather steal £150 mountain bikes rather than £500 road bikes ;)

, oh lord...

Wow there's some nice cars in here, I'll put a stop to that :)

Here's my 944 S2, 3.0ltr 4 cylinder. It's not the most powerful Porsche ever made, but at least the engine's in the right place ;)

Didn't they use that for the Porsche challenge on Top Gear? I think Hammond or May was driving it.

Apparantly it cant get from London to Brighton without breaking down 3 times, still, looks nice!

Grenade that 944 is immaculate! I love it. But the steering wheel is in the wrong place!

No that was an older 944 and May was driving it.

The S2 was used in the £1500 rear-wheel-drive car challenge and Clarkson was the one who bought that one.

First of all, I must say I hate every and each of you guys. :p

I'm jealous, maybe if I rob some banks I can afford a Porsche somehow.

Congrats for all the cars, loving Smallhorses's car and that 944 is just delicious to look at, and must be even better to drive.

Thanks for the nice comments :)👍

It's making a long awaited trip to the 'ring in August, so I should have some better pictures, and a nice story to tell.

I have to say there are some great looking Porsches on here. I will have more pics up at some point. I have a a long list of things in the works. Porsche 10 speaker option, new stainless exhaust, timing belt change, carbon fiber dash trim in a matte finish, windshield banner, 951 rear valance, and a front bumper pad delete.

Here is a friends Porsche 944 with a front bumper pad delete.

That is ... erm, well lets say not to my liking.

Maybe its just the alloys but the car looks to have been turned into a pimp mobile O.o
