Can we set up an online match next weekend please? I really feel like i'm not getting my money's worth for this game if i don't have a lot of fun online. And so far, i really haven't.

Would you all be willing to help set something up next Friday-Sunday?
 
How can you not have fun on MP... doesn't matter if I know someone or not... if I'm in a fun game its fun...

You can add me as a friend (mention GTP in the text)-- if I'm online and in a good game I'll send you an invite.

I can't promise when I'll be on... I work next weekend (alot) so I doubt you will see me on next weekend-- the following weekend looks better.

I dunno, it seems like too many people are way too good at headshots (because i die so soon after starting to be shot...even while running around). There are also way too many people killing each other in Free Mode, which it isn't really a mode for.

CoD4 meetings are always really fun, so i wanted to try it for GTA. But i guess most of you guys don't feel the same.

Anyway yeah, i'll add you on PSN. Anytime this week will be cool. Thanks. 👍

When everyone quits the race because they aren't winning - leaving you with 15 minutes of time you'll never get back and none the richer.

When you're on a deathmatch team of ONE, 'cos everyone wants to be with the highest-ranked player.


GC - I'd be up for it, but not this weekend.

Those are quite annoying occurences. As in GT5, you can guarantee a race will never finish with the same number of players it started with.

That said, I'm not as good at shooting as I am at racing, so I usually stick to the races online as it does get annoying getting wasted by the same person constantly.

I think online they should actually make you invincible for the first twenty seconds after you spawn, but also make you unable to fire for say the first ten seconds, which will give you time to leg it if needs be so you don't get killed as soon as you spawn, but also not make it too easy to just spawn and kill someone knowing they can't get you back for 20 seconds (I hope that makes sense...).
 
I might be up for it.I havent got the game yet but hope to have it before the weekend. I though the online would be good but you dont seem to be so happy with it?
 
I love the online, but as described it can be annoying if you get caught in a melee when you're just cruising about in free mode. While I don't mind a bit of mindless violence in the game, if you're trying to do one thing and some other git is pasting you it gets frustrating.
 
Death match can be frustrating if there are too many people, and boring if not enough--- I like about 6-7 in a death match-- with a medium/long distance respawn (depending on the area you are playing)-- and of course with nobody quitting-- about 15 minutes seems to be a good amount of time-- any shorter and you can't get in a groove, longer and people get bored or frustrated and quit.

I was in a good GTA race group the other day-- we had 7-10 people with fairly few quitters... were doing "random" races, 2 laps, in supercars with all weapons..... seemed to be a good combo... played about 90 minutes before people started dropping out.

The only time I ever quit was in a sesssion of death match where we started off with a good amount of people but the person set it for a ending of $10000 (first one to $10000)... everyone dropped out except for me and another guy-- I quit with about $4000 and he had about $5500-- we had been going at if for about 90 minutes in the one game and I finally started catching up somewhat (figured out attack he wasn't good at defending) but it was about 3:30 am and I figured the game wouldn't be over for another 90 minutes to 2 hours.
 
I've been waiting for a match between other GTP members. Maybe if you come up with a time and a day, I can look into it 👍
 
The latest update?? That sucks... is there a way to restore it or have you tried a re-install??

I like the latest update-- when I get kicked out of MP (the problem I mentioned in a different thread)-- it doesn't take you all the way back to single player now... just lets you re-select another "game"-- while my problem persists (up to a new game starting)-- it is ALOT less frustrating now--wastes about 7-10 seconds instead of 30+ seconds each time it occurs (it was a tough 30 seconds to wait ;) )

Hope you work it out.
 
now it works. It would never instal 1.01, i tried at least 50 times but nothing ever.. though 1.02 worked 1st go.

So DION IS ONLINE!! WOO!!
 
Awesome.

I may be on in another hour or so (look at the time on this post)--for about and hour or so... my driving skills seem to have improved the last week or so-- I'm winning or coming in 2nd about 1/2 the time now... perhaps the competion is getting worse.
