I'm pretty sure you don't outright ask for someone to gift you something, it negates the entire purpose of a gift in the first place. If someone wants to gift it you then they will, otherwise you'd be better off saving up the money yourself.

He might be able to work out a method that's more "old school" to curb your parents worries about paying for things online. Although if you guys have a semi-decent antivirus I wouldn't worry about it at all.

Seriously, don't you think a lot more people would be premium if they were just handed out? Me, I would live to have premium, and I'm in a similar situation to you, but it's not that important.
