I know that any sort of advertising is generally frowned upon in message boards, however, I know that exposure and time is of the utmost importance to my "request".

First a bit of background. I host video game tournaments for money, and some of you may look down at me for that, but this sort of thing is common amongst the fighting game community. Big events like Evolution that takes place every year at Las Vegas is considered the biggest in that community, and sets the standard among fighting game enthusiasts around the globe.

My little slice of heaven in Fort Worth would like to set a different standard with Gran Turismo. Since GT5's release in almost a year ago, almost no one is willing to take the game offline and challenge people in local races. Sure there is the GT Academy, but once you think about it, you are still competing against people online.

This is why I want to set up my tournament. The problem is that with little to no advertising space amongst the GT message boards, the message that you can compete against someone offline is lost amongst the shuffle.

So my question is this, can I advertise a offline Gran Turismo event, and if so, where?

This sounds like a very interesting idea, but no - commercial promotions aren't allowed in the forums themselves. If you'd like to advertise the competition here, send me an email (webmaster:@:gtplanet.net) - I look forward to learning more about what, exactly, you're putting together.

Jordan, if you replied to my email dated July 20th, please resend. It may have went to my spam folder where it was deleted indiscriminately. Sorry about that.

Well that means premium members won't see it...
Or they will, for the thirty seconds before they login.

In also curious as to see what this is...
