This morning i turn on my PC so it can encode some movies while i'm at work then boom.

BSOD.

I reboot

SSD can not be found.

Check connections, all fine.

Turns out my SSD just died.

First my car is smashed by some witch, now my SSD needs replacing.

Now i need to find a replacement unit since i will most likely get a credit when i submit the RA.

Which model of SSD is it? I had a similar-ish thing with my Crucial M4 where it would boot but would die after about 10 minutes. It needed a firmware update. Apparently there was a bug where after 5000 hours of use the on-chip power manager would forget to do stuff and it would just switch off, though it did at least boot, so I don't know.

Corsair Force 3.

It will not get detected in BIOS or device management.

I should have seen the warning signs when it would freeze while booting into windows.

im running a hybrid drive 500gb seagate now for my windows its pretty good... and for 90.00 ssd+hdd FTW

i also sleep the computer every night instead of shutting down
power on via smashing my keyboard buttons ;) so booting up is faster than ssd because the computer is asleep you see... and it just wakes up in 1sec so yeah its fkn quick.. lol

but on a serious note i have put the pc to sleep and powered on for weeks and and have no problems. programs load pretty damn quick.

I sleep my PC.
Screen comes back on within 5 seconds but my LCD is oldish.

My replcement SSD came in.

A corsair Force 3 120GBRF

As clean as it can be for where I live.

I have a surge protector that also has power filtering.

Sounds like you're doing everything you can. Assuming proper grounding? My brother had a terrible time with a computer I built for him. It just wouldn't work in his house. I would take it home and it work just fine. I finally ran a 10 foot copper rod into the ground outside his house and ran a dedicated grind wire to the circuit the computer was on and all of a sudden all his problems went away.

Still seems like you have some power issues somewhere......
