Simple (my) definition:

Ricer n. - A person who adds stickers and/or excess body parts, thinking this will further increase their slow speed.

Rice n. - A car that has stickers (not used for sponser purposes) and/or excess body parts is also considered rice, usually driven by a ricer.

Some examples of aftermarker parts on a ricer:
1. Hubcap spinners
2. Rear spoiler taller than roof line, or a nonfunctional spoiler that is 2 or more pieces
3. Nonpainted body kit, usually because the ricer doesn't have the money to paint it after he/she buys it
4. Chrome out the wizoo
5. Exhaust tip that is 2x the size of the pipes from motor
6. Stickers of companies whose products aren't on the vehicle
7. Black painted hood and/or other body parts to look carbonfiberish
8. Nonfunctional hood scoop that disrupts driver's view
9. More neon lights than age of driver
10. Shift light for an automatic transmission

Then there are tuners, who use their body kits for beneficial reasons. This includes aerodynamics and intercooler positioning.

Rice is the new fab, unfortunatly. They always want to race me, and I've actually raced a few. Needless to say, I beat them. Then they have the excuses that their car isn't running right, or that they missed a shift when their car is auto.

And now I leave you with one of my favorite pics...

A site which I moderate, no less (oh and don't visit it if you're offended by bad language or really, really tasteless jokes).

IMO ricers are people who will put body kits, high spoilers, odd looking rims, wierd paint jobs, "go fast stickers", 6 inch exhaust tips, etc. in order to try and fool people into thinking their car is fast. Talk to one of them, and they'll swear up and down that their car does sub 12's in the quarter. They themselves don't know much about cars, and are hoping the people their braggin too doesn't know anything better

I believe ricer is a racist term.

Anyway, I see a lot of ricers in my small town. They all sound loud. Is that because they took the muffler off or something?

What site might that be?

Again, how is it racist? Sure it could be if you took it out of context, but it describes a type of attitude that ANYONE can exhibit.

It's racist because it's derived from "rice burner", being a car or motorcycle of Japanese origin. That being said, this is probably the world's most overplayed automotive topic in the last ten years, and this thread didn't belong on this board anyway.

Well, first off, I am going to move this to the rumble strip after posting. :p

Next...
NightKid86,
I find it odd that you mentioned the front bumper but not the obviously moded rear bumper (same for the possible sideskirt).

Finally...

I believe that "rice" is a mind set.
It's not about your car but instead it is about your taste for automotive culture.

Not just what looks good or what will make you faster.

Rice is about the Fast and Furious Pop Culture that spawned a million import speed racers.

Just the same as how a decked-out "el camino" will send the "redneck" image, a decked-out civic, supra, or prelude will send out the rice vibe.

Notice that you don't see too many riced out RX7s from that final generation?
Well that is because those people bought a car for motorsports enthusiasm instead of PURE IMAGE!.

Just my thoughts...
And now for that move! lol.
