??? willl i be able it turn a cd track in to an MP3???? Thats all i want to do... I have WMP7

well upload your cd to windows media player, then u can import it to ur portable device or mp3...the files will be .wma but u can still use them on mp3's

I knew the Search function would come in handy

I have the same Queery. I tried uploading the CD to WMP9. The problem with that is that it's only uploading tiny amounts of every song. I'm trying to burn a CD for a friend. I use Nero Burning Rom. I can't however burn it using that because the CD has all of those extra features (It's LP Meteora). I downloaded WinAmp yesterday so I don't know how to use it. I want to be able to save the songs in my Playlist aswell. First I want to be able to copy the CD though.

If anyone can make anything of this, 'as I myself am confused' That would be very helpful. :)

Why using winamp? Its lowsy and can only rip at 2x. Get something like exact audio copy and the lame codec and then you can rip straight to mp3.

Are some new CD's impossible to convert to MP3? I have a new CD (feb 2004) that won't play in some CD players, like my PS2, and when I put it in my computer a player on the CD comes up. Also I can't open the CD and see any tracks. Anyone?

I have some new cd's that are supposedly copy protected. I didn't notice any difference ripping those, although I use Easy CD-DA extractor.

I'll give that eac a go.

Not impossible, but it's dependent on your CD drive if you can circumvent the copy protection.

It's bull****, to say the least.

i Dont know if that exact audio copy is free or not but just incase its not theres a free prog i use called "cdex", it rips songs pretty fast, also uses lame too. also you can download song titles too b4 u rip the cd so that the tracks wont be called "track 1.mp3, Track 2.mp3 ect.." they will have the real names. http://download.com.com/3000-2140-9471595.html?tag=lst-0-2 heres where u can get a quick description and download it..heres the official site if that one is not up to date http://www.cdex.n3.net/ hope that helps

What the hell are all you guys smoking?! go to DBPowerAmp.com/ and download the program and then all the plug-ins you need to do wma, ogg. Since you want to do mp3 I don't think you need any plug-ins. Don't use winamp, it's a lot cause. Oh, another great thing about dbpoweramp is that if your online it will automatically fill in the names of the songs and stuff. It's really simple.
