I am sure that i allready had a car that was capable to win that race. If i were you, i should first look into your garage for something that matches the opponent's car. And if you really don't have anything thats good enough, then make sure you buy the ZR-1. RM it, tune it and you should win easily.

The Veyron will not win it, the TVR Speed 12 will. (with basic sport height adj suspension only.)

It can win the Hot Hatch race... I don't know how it even qualifies for that race mind you, but it can win it. :D

It qualifies because PD left it "No Limitations". I love GT5 and all, but it's just one of those questionable decisions.

I'd go with the option of using the Furai, because you end up using less money than to RM and fully tune a ZR1
The ZR1 RM is a car you should always have anyway. It's the best for winning and grinding the American races (which are the best grinding tracks in the game), and is relatively cheap at around $700k to fully trick it out. That's not much when you consider it lays waste to all of the other top American race cars that cost 2+million. It's the best investment you can make in the game--it has made me tens of millions.

It's also one of the best cars in the entire game period. There is no car I've used even CLOSE to as much as my ZR1 RM.

Amen on the Vette--among the top 5 most important cars in the entire sim. Along with the GT-R, Minolta, FGT and X2010.

Any help on the Daytona part?? I'm really stuck on here and I lost so many times Ive been really frustrated... Can someone please list what car, mods etc thanks!!

Hey, which race or series are you talking about? The Daytona road course in Like The Wind is [moderately] easily won with the Corvette ZR-1 fully tuned and race modded (about $685K).

Brake early at the start/finish line where the wall was erected and you turn left, it's easy to slip and go in the grass. You'll make up time on the long stretch on the back. Set tranny top speed around 230mph. Full downforce.

If you mean the NASCAR Daytona, that's a whole different story in a different thread.

PS: the RMed Vette is mega-important for the whole sim. Get it!

The Mazda Furai can win it. Set the tranny top speed to 236 mph and max out the downforce. You'll win at Indy with some steady drafting and some blocking (when necessary). For Daytona, I'm not entirely sure if the Furai still manages it, but if you can, try to win the Pagani Zonda R and you'll beat it with minimal fuss.

The Corvette ZR-1 RM is extremely useful, but if I'm not sure if you're willing to spend all that.

Just tried it. veyron with sports softs, daytona done, left for dead at Indy so retired.
Bobs out doing the biz now in a new eunos i just bought him so hopefully I'll have the furai very shortly.

Ecchi-BANZAII!!
Spending money on Veyron?
You already spent too much.

You win this hunk a junk in an early race. Just sits in my garage looking pretty. Now in real life, it's a different story...

haha nvm I just beat it today! :D SO happy thanks tho! :D
Any car worth buying thats better than milota?

A few true race cars are better, but are hard to find and super expensive. Of course the FGT and X2010 are superior. You don't "need" any other cars than these to win everything, but you'll need them all eventually if that's your goal.

The minolta will serve you very well. Enjoy it!

CLK - LM Race Car 98!

Prize car from golding one of the AMG Challenges. Will give you easy win on Daytona and a close one at Indy (as long as you manage to have a 1 second lead at the end of lap 4

It gives you a very easy win on Indy... the AI is retarded and they slow down for the turns when they don't have to.
