5. and THERES TO MANY HONDA ONLY events

I have to agree with that, I don't see any other manufacture only rooms, other than the occasional... Well actually barely ever. I've seen Euro only car rooms, U.S only cars rooms, but no other manufacture only except for honda rooms.
It would be ok except most of them are filled with wannabes with RM'd EK's.

I am an American and I agree with the OP. Many (not all) American drivers give us Yankees a bad name. Definitely not a US vs Canada thing, more like US vs the planet. I need to repeat, not all US drivers are this way. But for those that are, there is no reason for such bumpercar driving or bad language, but that is how the USA typically behaves in the international scene anyway -- we boss people (countries) around. I wish it were not that way, I am not that way, yet is is the way things are. I have left many good online racing rooms because of a few USA-holes constantly ruining otherwise good races. Also it is not JUST Americans; last night a Spaniard was deliberately bashing and beating on everyone, swerving into people, swerving in front and brake-checking... it was ugly (btw the room name was "Real Men Race Clean" LOL). "Drunk drivers" do not help either. Go find a bumpercar room, actually I think we should have more rooms named "Bash-em-Up Brawling Room."

In the end, all this makes me appreciate the times when everyone is getting along and having tons of fun with good clean races. It's a beautiful thing and it's happening around the world all the time. *sniff*

USA-Holes, god I wish I wasn't American so I could use that! :)

I was in a freerun lobby on Daytona and there was a Spaniard using Jay Leno's tank rod, trying to block the track and ram people. I'm not sure if he ever got anyone.

As for the American issue, I've heard a lot of noise about it but haven't really noticed Americans acting like idiots.

I think part of the problem is the high standard of living, thus, more parents can afford to buy expensive equipment for their kids. They then give their kids unsupervised access to the PSN. Guess what happens next.

Alcohol may be a factor in other cases.

The others, I guess, are people with big egos and little talent who don't really see any value in clean racing. As many have said, these people exist in all countries, but since America has more population, they'll seem to have a higher concentration of non-smart people.

From what I've heard, the British can be far worse. Two UK users in one lobby instantly becomes an argument of the "my soccer team can beat up your soccer team" type. I don't have any firsthand experience in this area, fortunately.

Speaking of Canada. Have any of you actually tried beer & donuts? What a great Canadian gift to cuisine! Where would the world be without this classic morning pick-me-up? I've been planning to add a little Vegemite into the mix for a true international treat. (Regardless, my advice is to start with the beer considerably in advance.)

Coo coo coo roo coo coo coo coo, or some such; it's been a while! :)

(Disclaimer: please do not actually try beer and donuts. You will regret it. I know I did.)

American drivers drive very disrespectfully. Trust me, I'm American, and every time I ram by mistake, I just face-palm myself and ask "What did I do", so I type "Sorry" back

I didn't get a chance to read all the responses but I think you will find players like that in every country. I can however see the us having more of these types of racers due to the fact racing is not as popular here as in other countries.

I say just keep booting them and don't think twice, believe me they offend good racers in general.

As an american that lives close to the Canadian border....I can honestly say that the only time I hate Canada is when I have exact change for the vending machine and after I put all the coins in, the machine laughs at me and then spits the canadian quarter out at me and revels in the delight that i cant get a soda. :)

Maybe Arcade Fire's Grammy win will improve things?

My experience is varied; all countries have some non-racing serious, rammer, rude players; but I have raced and added to my Friends list a number of American GT5ers; including those from the South.

Sometimes I have heard abuse when racers speak a different language other than English; I sometimes translate French for the non-French speaking racers. 👍

But as others noted, not all rude GT5ers online; I have friends from many countries. 👍

Note: Sometimes I join a room with a wrong car because I need to see which car the host wants me to race; then I switch cars if I can ( before being booted by the Host).

Patience and perserverence will prevail; so keep on racing online and I'll watch for your room.

Salut!

I am part of another racing series on here with about 30 members. I think 25 members are from the US and 5 from Canada, but man it's been a blast racing with them all. I havent met a more fun, competitive and sporting group of racers to date.

And, just FYI, the members are from all over the states, not just any one region!

I agree with you Scuudz and not just because we're in the same league. We have had many great races and noone ever verbally abuses each other and there is never any deliberate crashing of other racers. The OP should join the Lay-Z-boy Racing League and then he wouldn't even have to worry about "open lobby madness". Follow the link in my signature to our Social Page.
