hey guys ive been thinking considering that the Gran Turismo series are racing simulators to keep with that can we push Polyphony Digital into bringing out some new European eco boost Formula Fords and a couple F3000 open wheel race cars afterall it is a driving/racing simulator and the Gran Turismo series are well in need for open wheel race cars

yeah sadly I thought the GT series were all about pure racing not this space crap their putting in like this lunar crap rather disappointing in my eyes

GT has never claimed to be a racing game the name says it all the real driving simulator and racing is only one part of driving.

When has PD ever gave the indication that they could be "pushed" into anything (as opposed to doing things on their own schedule with some feedback accepted)? The only example I can think of is the transmission thing from GT5 1.0, and the disaster that followed with the initial release of the Spec II DLC.

@Lawndart But what if they're listening to me, but not listening to you? But they are thinking about what you're thinking about while listening to me when I'm not thinking about what they're thinking about????

I think that's where you and many others go wrong.

Take the racing bit out of the game. What's left?

Your imagination in answer to your question but that's just me. I am not saying that racing is not meant to be in the game as it's a necessary facet of what GT is but it's not "just" a racing game. As far as what's left mod'ing and tuning cars. Improving your skill as a driver. Challenging your self to improving hot lap times. Just as examples. All I am saying is GT is more than just racing.

Bitching for one car...the only car that made it to the Moon. That car is a legend and why not having it in a GAME? It won´t change the car list just because it is just one car...and it is still a CAR. I want to drive it.

I can understand that you don´t have your beloved specific car that you wanted in the game, but bitching because of just one like the whole game is ruined by it...incredible.

Yes, but without racing (track and cars on it) it is all pointless.

Of course I am not disagreeing with you I am saying that GT is more than a racing game that's all. It's not like there aren't any racing cars in the game there are quite a number so far. Plus the car list still has reveals to come

GT used to be about racing your own car, upgrading it, then fully race modding it... Then it hits its limit of competition and you moved up in higher level cars... That was GT1 in a nut shell.

Even recycling events but with faster cars...

I miss the progression.

I understand you 100%. I can understand the fun in driving street cars but I find more fun in driving the cars I watch on TV.

It would be nice if they added more race cars. I have a pretty good feeling that we will get them as DLC down the road too. I will say that I think tuning supercars to a similar spec makes pretty good substitute in the meantime (I have 4 or 5 in a "class" in GT5)

On a side note I feel like some people on here are constantly complaining like Kaz was supposed to send them a letter asking how they would like PD to make the game. I also think PD has done a pretty good job of adding alot of the tuning and aero mods that people been asking for. Considering the hardware limitations they have done a pretty good job of trying to give people what they have been asking for. Some people just need to complain.

That's unfortunately every fandom right about now. People will always find something to complain about.

It would also be nice if there was an online mechanism in place where you could submit cars you would like to see in the game, and they could potentially be added based on demand.

There used to be a 'Feedback' tab here on GT. Here is a news item on it:

https://www.gtplanet.net/gt5-feedback-forum-submit-vote-on-game-issues/

As it says there, PD are well aware that this is by far the biggest collection of GT fans with opinions and ideas online. They're well aware of the site and surely this feature. Here it is on archive.org, since it's gone from the live site:

https://web.archive.org/web/2013052...ck.gtplanet.net/forums/99305-most-wanted-cars

Of the top 10 cars they hit 2/10. Keep going down and most are not there. Check the tracks:

https://web.archive.org/web/2013052....gtplanet.net/forums/99317-most-wanted-tracks

They did a little better here, 3/10.

Finally the general feedback:

https://web.archive.org/web/20130603111948/http://feedback.gtplanet.net/forums/96709-gt5-feedback

1. They've done on a limited level.

2. We'll have to see.

3. They did on a limited level. More DLC was paid than free.

4. It seems RM may be gone entirely from GT6.

5. Doesn't seem to be officially in GT6 at all.

6. Didn't do it. We'll see for GT6.

7. Yay, they hit one pretty well!

8. Two in a row, we're on a roll!

9. Oh dear. Roll over.

10. Back on for this one though.

Like I said, they do what they like. Sometimes by coincidence it may match up with requests but more often than not, they miss the mark.

* This list is one part of the cars planned for inclusion, and is subject to change.

indicates that the car is appearing for the first time in the series.

......................People come on.

Actually with the cars, they got 4/10.

Ferrari FXX
Lamborghini Reventon
Lamborghini Diablo (GT and GT2 Road car)
Ferrari 250 GTO (from the "Start Your Engines" Trailer)

As for the tracks, again 4/10

Bathurst
Brands Hatch
Silverstone
Apricot Hill

Pretty sure there's a reason it's called "The Real Driving Simulator". Not "Real Racing Simulator".
