Can you beat my time ? (GT3)

i would like to try it also. i think i'm inching closer to mr p in driving skill and now i have another time of his to go after. he's my hero and i want to be just as fast as him some day ;)
 
now why don't you get back here ron and give us a real time?

should we create a board? :thumbsup:

at this moment i'm watching the kids while my missus goes to buy me a new gt3 disc (just glad it went platinum £20 ;) )
coz my 3 year old daughter ejected my game from the ps2 and wrecked it :cry: got about 1000 scratches on it , but i'll have a replacement in about 20 mins so i'm chilled :D
my last run in this event was fractionally better and got me a 1.14.109 here's my sectors from my lap time notepad (handy thing to have for situations like this ;) )

t1 = 19.279
t2 = 35.636
t3 = 54.117

total = 1.14.109 asm off tcs on

i'll get on it asap and hopeful of a 1.13 xxx in not too many laps :cool: laters

maybe we should sell this little comp to other planeteers, it is a fun run in a fun car.
 
Is anyone going to start this thread again? If not let me know and I will... btw, our times are for tcs on so we'd want to keep that? I'm all for this race taking off... very fun. I think I'm over being tired of it for now :D

This race can run as long as you guys want. Keep pluggin away. I dont see 1:12 s. I see maybe low 1:13s as the best. Its funny , one post I had here said my 1:15.2xx should " stand tall" for a while. LOL ! You guys are just too good.
I`ll run it again.

I read a thread here about breaking through the wall in Seattle. I did it. It was so cool. You can drive around the whole outside of the track. Took me a million tries but I did it. I`m dying to get outside of Cote d Azur. Theres so many virgin roads. Have you guys ever hear of it being done ?

( the last paragraph probably belongs on a new thread but I feel like I have your attention so I thought it wouldnt hurt to ask )

...I'm not in any BIG Race Series at the moment so it gives me some more time to do a few spot races.

Ran about 40 laps last night in the Corvette. The settings I used are as follows.

Mode - Arcade
Game - Free Run
Track - Laguna Seca Raceway
Garage - S Class
Car - Corvette C5R
TCS - Off
ASM - Off
Trans. - Manual
Controller - Logitech Momo Force Wheel.

Best lap to date - 1:13.981

A mid to low 1:13 is possible with a bit more practise. Early breaking and turning is the key and getting maximum revs throughout the gears also helps (only poss in MT). I'll give this another shot if someone beats me (Mr P?) ;)
 
GVX, I have a logitech as well that I have yet to get into. What are your opinions on times associated with using the wheels (at least with the momo) and would you be willing to submit times using the 'ol Dual Shock?

I can still use the Dual Shock II and produce good times, but once you make the switch to the wheel there's no going back. It's like going from GT3 back to GT2. I wouldn't do it unless I absolutely had to. :cool:

After doing about 200 laps in last 3 days ...

I lowered my time a bit.

1 : 14 . 331

1 : 13s seem im possible to me but I`ll get there.

All this time doing laguna seca i could be finishing the game.

91.5 % complete

You got that time after 6-laps??? Either you were incredably lucky (go out and buy a lottery ticket now!!) or you're the next superstar of OLR! ;) I hope you were using the correct Arcade car! :lol:

Sorry, yeah, I've been doin other races. Loving that Mugen Hot Lap! Great course with an awesome car! Anyhow, I like the C5R as well so I'l l go do it again now and see what I can get.
 
sorry, i don't want to seem pushy, just want to do my part to make sure everybody gives it all they've got and pushes the gvx's of the world. :whip:


and yes, i know i hav'nt put up a time yet but i'm waiting till my wife and kids go to sleep tonight to give it a real shove. see you all then. (i'm sure you're all holding your breath)
 
Yeah GVX, no doubt about it! 6 laps got me that time because of my mad skillz don't you know?
Actually I've run a whole lot on Laguna Seca, so that's why I'm fast there. If you look at my Tokyo Time or TVR time, its really pathetic :( .
I'll do another run tonight, I think I could get about .15 seconds off, but any more would mean cutting across the corkscrew. :p
Did my run of 6 laps - sucked bad, I suppose because I've been driving a porsche for the past 2 hours - 1.14.6xx.
 
Time to show my hand on this little challenge to, so here's what I've come up with :D -

T2 - 35.830
Total Lap - 1:14.112

Damn I want to crack into the 13's but the high speed understeer this thing has stuffs me every time I push that little bit harder! :(

I'd get used to manul as I'm sure you could shave even more time off utilizing the 'full' powerband!

Well, another 20 laps down tonight and nothing sub 1'14.4-- so I'll have to spend more time on this tomorrow, late.

I probably should start using MT. It would take some getting used to and my thumbs are busy enough let alone having 2 more fingers doing work.
I think I`m done with this one for a while. I`m gonna do some hot laps at Tokyo with the Mugen NSX. I don`t wanna bust my arse for .03 sec. to get into 1st.
