Can you use a G27 and controller at same time

Does anyone know if you can run a G27 wheel and a PS3 controller at the same time for the same vehicle in GT5? Eg. Could I steer using the wheel but do my shifting using the PS3 controller buttons? If so, then I would think you could build a sequential shifter using the controller guts for the shifting. So far I've had no luck - bu that doesn't mean I'm not missing something real obvious? Or maybe it just doesn't work?? :grumpy:

This is nice, so you actually can navigate the menus with the controller buttons in a button box instead of doing finger gymnastics with the buttons on the wheel itself (this is a major issue with racing Forza 4 + CSR Elite - very slow experience).

Hot damn !! Tried it last night and it worked like a charm. Now I can start designing a proper sequential shifter for my G27 wheel and use it in GT5.
