Alright I've been searching on the internet but I can't find any logical solutions. How is God's name do you get rid of canker sores? I'm getting the every week and it makes my mouth hurt really bad.

So does anyone have any remedy to get rid of these or at least dull the pain. My mouth is in quite a bit of pain right now.

Do you smoke? Stop smoking...that can cause them. Also certain nuts.

I use something called "Colgate Orabase" on my canker sores, and it gets rid of them very quickly and dulls the pain right away.

I smoke the occanisonal cigar but that's maybe once every couple of months.

The only nuts I eat are the expensive imported Pistachos that my mom gets.

I'll give the Colgate a try though.

If I get them, I'll swish some hydrogen peroxide mixed with mouthwash in my mouth. Make sure you don't use Listerine or anything strong like that, though, because the sting will be greatly intensified.

They are those yellowish, greenish, painful sores you get in you mouth.

Don't we call them Coldsores in the bottom half of the world (VIPERGTSR01)?
Dont know, I thought it was a mouth ulcer.

There's a white powder that my family's always used for canker sores, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is (some long chemically name though… something-ide). You put a little bit on a Q-tip, then apply it to the canker sore. Works really well, but burns like hell.

i think ive only had a few in my mouth, but if i do get them, they are usually on the outside of my lips...

by the way, how do you get these exactly? (looking for famine's biological answer type here)

When I was a baby I had a mouth full of mouth ulcers, I had to stay in hospital for awhile (Not like I remember anyway). I used to get the occasional mouth ulcer as I was growing up but havent had one since I was about 10. They have never come back.

Yea same here! Canker sores are a silly name anyway ;).

Yeah, America has silly names for almost every thing.

There is no scientific reason why people get these sores. Some say it's worrying, stress, acidic foods, etc. The most logical is acidic food though.
