I had to agree to a new psn server agreement just now literally five minutes ago, when my son wanted to use the ps3 are you signed into the psn network or just start straight off the disc?

Go to your account and press sign in the agreement should pop up

Nope, nothing pops up.

Have you tried turning it off ...... Then Turning it back on again...

Have you tried connecting the PS3 directly to the modem? That's just to make sure the router is not blocking any ports? Also as suggested above, did you sign in to PSN from the XMB before starting the game?
