Can't connect to Wifi

I'm using windows 8. It's a dell Inspiron. I kept looking up this issue but found nothing.

My laptop shows a list of networks I can join. However when I hit the connect. It just does nothing.

No window pops up, no password is asked. Nothing. It just dissapears til I click "Maxx" again and I click connect and does nothing again.

Didn't know if anybody had a solution to this or not?

Uninstall the network drivers and reinstall them.

Just incase your system cant reinstall current versions download new copies.
Also try restarting your modem.
