Can't get 100%, definite BUG in the game

I have been reading posts on this and other boards, something like 'I am at 99.x%, have done everything and cannot get 100%'.

Well I think this is caused by a bug(s) in the game.

eg. did you know that if you do not do mission 1 first, then you will not get the credit after you do it towards your game % completion ?

Although at c40% I have found another similar bug. Some time ago I did 3 rounds of the Touring Car in European Hall to create some cash. Each time I got asked whether I wanted to clear the previous results (to win another prize). Well last night I did the race again. All the gold cups were there, but when I entered I got no 'do I want to clear' message, did the races and then was rewarded with a car prize ! Repeated with same results on B-spec. I also noticed that my previous efforts (ie A-spec points) was still at zero.

What does this mean ? Well my menu shows all Golds for the races and series, but the game clearly does not see it as completed, and it probably means I cannot get to 100%.

I suspect there may be other races doing the same thing, or it could just be this one. Gamers need to be aware.

Possible solution: I have an AR max in the cupboard so I am going to download the latest codes and load up with the codes for the above race on for completion, see if sorts out the glitch. Otherwise I'll use when I get to 99.x% to get the black F1 car.

Anyone else have anything to add ?

If it was a glitch/bug would ANYBODY be able to get 100%? Doubtful, and there are folks on here that have from several countries.
 
If you look elsewhere there have been posts today on GT4 bugs thread highlighting this. Question is, is there a workaround ?

eg in the US version there is a similar bug, if you do not do Mission 1 first, then Mission 1 when completed will not go towards your % completion. Now that may have caught only a few, but it's still a bug.
 
Are you really sure you've won all races??? You did every cup (in cup form, not just single races)? I guess you just forgot a manufacturers cup or so. Maybe you haven't completed a mission, but I didn't do the missions in the right order, started with 1-10, then 21-24, 11-20, and then 30-34 and 25-29. So, that doesn't matter. I have 100%, have the PAL version (just like you, I suppose;)).

So, only thing I can think of is that you haven't won a race or missed a mission. Otherwise, I dunno, but it's not a bug, that's for sure.:)

1. you read this board eg see threads GT4 bug
2. read other boards.

i did find something by mistake -

in one of the manufacturers races i had raced and won, the trophy did not appear in the trophy circle at a later time when i was checking for other races "b" or "a" im not sure which one. i went in to race and the trophy just reappeared.

so check out all the manuf. races and look for a missing trophy.

either that or one of the trophys is a bronze (it looks just like gold except a slight shade darker - very hard to tell)
 
If You use certain AR max codes, mission 1 and (I think) mission 30 will lock, what I mean is that even if You pass it, You'll not get credit for it, so You cant really get 100% with codes.
 
It IS a bug. And I believe it's located with the Audi TT car and/or race. With NTSC, it's located in Driving Missions.

The NTSC bug has been Recreated. It also has a solution.

The PAL version has so many users having the Audi TT problem. It won't count the %, but will give the prize money and car. So it's a bug. It's been confirmed by so many people now.

We need to find a work around.

Before you say "Do licences, manufacturer, missions, enduros, etc..." read the GT4 bug thread, last page (page 4 with max replies per page). It's all in there as well. It IS a bug. Check other boards. They seem to be trying to work it out and not debating its existence.


My suggestion for working around it is, NEVER use the Audi TT outside of the Audi TT event. However, it happens to people IN the Audi TT event too.

Steven - how many Audi TTs are in the game? I think I remember 2? Which one were you using for the German champ?

As far as I know there are 2in the PAL version: the Quattro road car, and the Abt TT-R (the DTM race car with Red- Bull colours).

This bug is somewhat worrying- I quite like the Audi DTM machines.

I stand corrected.. but then it's kinda hard when your copy of GT4 and PS2 are over 100miles from where you live.
 
I think ama get affected by the Bug tooooo...
Dayem! I have the NTSC Version. Only 2 Missions to go, I think 23 and 34. And still its showing like 97.3 percent complete.. DAMN DAMN DAMN!!! WHAT DO I DO?????
Any suggestions?
 
I've only used the Audi TT 3.2 Quattro in the Tourist Trophy at Audi. Specially bought that car for that cup. And I have 100%, so I guess you're safe.;)

Weird bug this is... :boggled: :odd: :confused:
 
Well I bought TT-R audi, for 24hrs of nurburgring and deutsche touring wagen meisterschaft. I am an audi fan, so I chose that car. After that i did some other races with other cars and eventually got to manufacturer races and did the TT trophy with TT-R. I reached 100% without any problems.

(I will check my diary and tell you if this is exactly how it happened, but that is what I remember). I bought other TT from used cars, because I wanted first to get all possible cars in Arcade mode for my brother to drive.

I agree if that's a bug, it is weird, but I didn't know anything about it and didn't get affected by it.

Also I wonder, if I can get affected if I re-run TT trophy?
 
I used the Audi Abt TT-R Touring Car ('02) in the Touring Car. I have done the Audi manufacturer races with it with no problem. I guess I am not going to know whether I have a problem until I eventually finish everything, and that is going to be awhile. But it is concerning that I do not get the clear/unclear message and A-spec points are not 'saved' for those rounds.

It seems I have just been hit by this bug - I played the German Touring Car series (with the Opel Astra Touring Car '00, not an Audi of any variety), picked up my all golds and Mercedes and my 1% towards game completion, then went to compete again. I was not prompted with a "do you wish to clear" message of any sort.

Thankfully I have a backup save from before first attempting the series... I might try to mess about with this a little.

This leads me to wondering - perhaps it's not the Audi itself causing the bug, but the German Touring Car series?
 
I have never seen any "do you wish to clear" message ever. I have NTSC, is this right? Confused...

I have never owned a TT, so I guess I'll be more careful when I get around to Germany...

Don't worry, there are enough people who have driven with the Audi TT in other cups, and who still got 100%. This is weird...

Do you wish to clear message is only if you do races from a series again, so if you do cups again, you won't get that message. But the completion stays the same, that's what I've read about the clear messages.:)
 
Oh okay. I don't think I've ever done a championship series and then re-ran it with the individual races...

I have done some series many many times without the message though.

You do not get asked here if you want to clear the records.

You only get asked this for single race series.
 
In which case, the bug is localsed in the TT series, because people with 99.x(4?)% say the TT ace in Germany is not giving them gold cups - just $ and prize car. But no % or cups.

Are you saying that the circle where the gold cup shows up does not have a cup in it ?

And for the endurance race events, if you've finished them and want to redo.
BTW, I noticed one thing, I had a few silvers in some extreme events and when I re-raced and got gold, the %age increased. I thought if the series was over with points and u got the full price money and the car, that counts in full on ur %age, but thats not the case..

Your % is weighted in the number of golds you have. So if you win a Championship, but you have some Bronze, Silver, or numbered results, you can gain % points for turning those into golds. :sly:
 
I'll let y'all know in a few months if I have trouble getting 100% :scared: :nervous: :crazy:

Are golds necessary on all license tests for 100%? I just rushed through them the first day I got the game ... almost all bronze.
