Can't race online (time out error?)

Hi,

Since a few weeks (2 or 3 maybe) I can't race online anymore. It always worked fine and I never had any problems. My ps3 connects to PSN without problems but when I'm in the open lobby and I choose a server, it tries to connect and after 5 seconds or so I get a message saying something like 'request time out'.

Does anyone know something about this ?

ps. I just updated (system update and gt5 update) but it's still the same.
 
Nope, no numbers.. just the message 'request time out' , I then have to click 'OK' , and then a really short message appears saying 'can't connect to room' and then it automatically returns to the server list.
 
What's your NAT Type ? If it's 3 you will encounter issues sometimes on GT5.

Do you have a restricted download usage package from your internet provider ? If so , if you go over your monthly limit , it's guaranteed that your internet is throttled back & this causes lots of online issues.

Have you played any other games online recently ? Do they have similar issues too ?

I don't have other games on the ps3, but I'm connected to PSN plus my PC is on the same router and everything else works perfect
