Hi,
I've just had this problem when someone sent me a car but I can't receive it.
I keep clicking on either receive all or receive this gift, where a window asks me to confirm and upon confirming it does nothing. Has anyone else had this and how do you solve this problem?

Never had that problem, but if i would have it myself, the first thing i'd try is turning the ps3 off and on again. I don't know if you tried already, but if you didn't it's a good thing to start with ;)

It could be a common thing that always happens. Just click on something like the UCD, A-Spec, B-Spec, etc. Then click back and you should hear a noise. Hope it works for you

^ What the guy before me said is right.

Somebody gifted me the car and that's where I have the problem, whereas If i had won it then I could just collect it from the car delivery..if you get what I mean

No, to be clearer, I am trying to receive the gifted car from under the community tab, where it asks me whether or not I would like to add this to my items list. I can't receive the car from its ticket form in the car delivery unless that ticket is in my items list.

What he's saying is it won't let him recieve the ticket and it's stuck in the community tab.

Have you tried quitting the game and going back on? This may resolve the problem as cars that have been sent to me sometimes don't turn up till i do this.

Not sure what you just said above me here, but when you confirm you want to receive your gift the car is then put in the delivery truck thingy. The big thing is though, there will not be a red number like there normally is. Just hit confirm and then go to the truck.

So what happens when you click "receive all"? Does the card disappear from the gift menu, and also the "receive all" button? And there should be a prompt, "operation completed".

After this, it should be in the car delivery.

I click receive all and absolutely nothing happens. I click it over and over again but there is no operation complete window. After clicking the button I can move my cursor left and right straight away meaning there isn't even a sort of processing lag

That sometimes happens when I try to send a car. I click on send and confirm, and the send window disappears and I'm back in the garage, the car is still there. The "operation completed" window doesn't appear.

But after a 2nd or 3rd try, it usually works.

If not, restarting the game works.

I am currently having this problem. I can go to Receive All and the cursor shows up, the button appears to "go down" but the gift stays in the Community tab. I shut the game down, went to other accounts, start and stop and nothing seems to make this ticket leave the community. The star is always on. Been at it for two days now. Afraid to send anything else. But now that I said that I may send a second, cheap car just to see what happens if you have more than one item. Problem is the stuck item is a Level 21 ticket.

OK, after having a ticket stuck for three days, I took the chance and forwarded a low priced Honda. So now I log in and it shows two gifts. When I touch X on the Receive button the red and white star moves, sort of blinks a little, but nothing happens. Then after a few more trys, while swearing under my breath, it worked and both ticket and car were received. Maybe the second gift pushed the first one out. Who knows.

Sweet. So many of these "answers" were ridiculous. I've had this problem since PSN started working again and this is the only thing I haven't tried yet.

If the vehicle in question is the Renault 5 Maxi Turbo Rally Car '85, then the vehicle may exceed the 1,000,000 credit limit for free car gift tickets (specific car tickets). You can only send and receive cars whose value is less than 1,000,000 credits. So in essence, the vehicle should not have been able to be sent to you in the first place.

If not, then try these tips:

-Try clearing your system cache (Options>Network>Clear System Cache).

-Quit the game to the XMB, then re-enter the game.

-Turn off your PS3 normally (via the XMB), then reboot and try again.

-Turn off all other devices on your network (i.e. printers, portable devices, etc.). May not even need to be mentioned, but worth a try.

-A part of your file installation may have been corrupted. Unistall the data via the utility in Gran Turismo 5's options menu (Options>Utilities>Delete Game Data). Then pre-install the game data again (Options>Utilities>Pre-Install Game Data). Back up your save file first. This should only delete your install data and leave your replay data, preferences, update data, photo data, and track maker data still on your HDD. Only try this as a last resort.

-Your internet connection may be experiencing connection problems. Try turning off any routers, modems and your PS3, then wait approximately 1-5 minutes, then turn them back on again starting with your modem. Wait until the modem is fully booted and running, then turn on any routers you may be using, starting with the one closest to your modem. Wait for all your routers to boot fully. Then turn on your PS3 and try again.

-Try having your friend gift you special paint items, or other items in his/her items list (i.e. car upgrades).

You also may want to back up your game save regularly. These are the tips I can think of from the top of my head.
