Can't see cars in online race

I was racing online and wasn't able to see some cars. For example, the race information on the screen clearly said there were 4 racers, but at the end of the race it was obvious from room comments that there were others racing that I could not see on the track. This has never happened to me before and I'm wondering if it has anything to do with my internet connection or if this is a bug from a recent update that has been known to others. For the record, I cleared my cache and it still happened. I have also recently changed my internet company. Does anyone know why this happened?

I've had it happen multiple times as well. I think it's a mix of my slower connection and PD's servers. Unfortunately even leaving the lobby and joining back doesn't always work. Sometimes it does, but not always.

It happens all the time to me. Just re-enter the track/lobby and that should work.
I exited the lobby, cleared my cache, rejoined and the same thing happened the next race.

Has this been happening to you for a long time, or just recently? I'm trying to figure out if it has anything to do with my new internet company or if it's a recent glitch.

This is a glitch. PD didn't had fix it but I hope that they can fix that glitch in update 1.14

That glitch is annoying and it ruins the races.

So PD: Please fix that glitch!

I've had the problem since the beginning. It's nothing new for me.

It's doesn't happen to everyone though so I'd suspect the connection could be a problem. Just saying....

Indeed, low connection strength can cause all sorts of things. Even if you yourself have a great connection. Makes having a really good wi-fi set-up useless. :/

If you have this problem, I think you will continue to have it until something with your ISP changes.

I have been hosting every night since 2011, and the same guys that had the problem in GT5 are still having it in GT6.

People from the other side of the planet are more prone to having this problem.

I have read that putting your PS3 in your router's DMZ can fix this, but I am not sure if that is true.

Leaving the racing lobby and returning does work...

Sometimes.

Agreed with most responses.

Invisible cars on track isn't anything new.
It can be worked around, sometimes, by either yourself, of the invisible player, leaving the room and re-entering.

My thoughts are it's a compatability issue between ISP's, and obviously regions.

But not a new issue from my experience.

ISP seems to make a big difference. My connection is on the slower side, 2.5MB down/500kb up, but is very stable. I've seen people with 25MB down and they still have issues.

Especially with GT, it wants a very particular connection or it'll treat you like crap, so to speak.
